In Brief:
- Farming Season (official site) has introduced an AI farm assistant. Players can hire it to tend their farms every few minutes, and it keeps working while the game is closed.
- According to the team’s X post, the assistant harvests every ripe field and replants it. Feeding is also listed among its jobs.
- It launches during Season 1 on Robinhood Chain, where in-game spending goes toward SEASON burns and the reward pool.
The assistant
An AI assistant can now take over farm work for Farming Season players.
Posting from its @farmingseasonio account on X, the team wrote: “Your farm can now run itself.” The post went on: “Meet the AI farm assistant in Farming Season. Hire it, and it gets to work on your farm right away, every few minutes, even while the game is closed.”
Your farm can now run itself
Meet the AI farm assistant in Farming Season.
Hire it, and it gets to work on your farm right away, every few minutes, even while the game is closed.
What it does for you
• Harvests every ripe field and plants them again
• Feeds yourFarming SeasonView on X ↗
The post lists two jobs under the heading “What it does for you.” One reads “Harvests every ripe field and plants them again.” The other begins “Feeds your,” and the visible text stops there. The excerpt leaves out the complete task list, what it costs to hire the assistant and which currency pays for it.
The player guide at farmingseason.io/docs makes no mention of the assistant.
Why the timing matters
The feature lands partway through Season 1. On Oct. 19, the team posted the SEASON contract address at 16:00 UTC and launched Season 1 at 16:30 UTC. Season 1 is scheduled to run through Nov. 3.
According to the team, 0xea0071a8778fa02c12378e88868255e0e0952be6 is the only official contract. Players were told the address would appear only on the team’s own X account, and that any other “CA” going around should be ignored.
In-game spending is split in half: one half is burned and the other goes to the reward pool. Game Vault fees follow the same split, at 3% on deposits and 5% on withdrawals. Burns settle on-chain roughly every 10 minutes.
So an assistant that replants fields every few minutes works on the same short cycle the economy already runs on.
Server-side play
Per the guide, the game runs on the team’s servers. Each harvest, purchase and battle result is verified there, and nothing from the browser is trusted.
Because the server already validates every harvest, a hired assistant can keep working a farm after the player closes the browser.
An unofficial multi-account bot for the game is already up on GitHub, in the repository 7xTARXG/farmingseason. The official assistant brings automation into the game itself.
Background
Farming Season is a pixel-art farming game on Robinhood Chain. Players build farms, grow crops, raise animals, fight in a Battle Arena and join clans. The team describes it as the first RWA farming game on the chain.
Three of its buildings follow real markets. Gold and silver come from the Mine, oil comes from the Oil Well, and the Farm Bank buys those goods at live prices from Chainlink price feeds on Robinhood Chain. Other buildings include Fields, the Coop, Sheep Pen, Barn, Pig Pen, Orchard, Silo and Fishing Pond.
Getting in requires a one-time fee worth $1, paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain. Login works with any EVM wallet through a signed message, which is free and doesn’t send a transaction.
Season 1 also has a Daily Challenge in the Battle Arena. It’s a single 10-minute battle with a $0.10 entry, and each day’s top 10 farmers split the prize pot. A Creator Pool pays out $500 a day, divided in SEASON among that day’s top 100 creators. Every week, the top three clans share token prizes from the reward pool.
