Jason Brink and his Gala Allies Depart to Establish a new Organization Called LFG

After four years serving as the president of blockchain at Gala Games, Jason Brink, also known as BitBender, has officially announced his resignation. Despite stepping down from his role, Brink will continue to support the company as an unpaid advisor. Additionally, several other team members have also decided to part ways with Gala Games.

To further strengthen the Gala ecosystem, Brink and his former colleagues are establishing an external organization named LFG, which stands for Let’s Fight Giants. LFG’s primary focus will be to enhance Gala’s infrastructure, including GalaChain and Gala’s Node ecosystem, from an external and decentralized perspective.

Brink believes that this strategic move will allow him and his allies to extend their support to external projects that are independent of Gala Games. While emphasizing his commitment to the GALA ecosystem, Brink reassures the community that he will always be involved in its development.

Notably, Gala Games recently forked its GALA token, reissuing it as v2 GALA in 2023. The decision to fork the token raised questions, and later it was revealed that the company’s two co-founders, Eric Schiermeyer and Wright Thurston, were involved in a legal dispute worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The lawsuit highlighted issues with the company’s governance structure, as the bylaws required a 2/3 majority vote for board actions, despite having only two equal shareholders.

With the departure of Jason Brink and other former Gala employees, the shift towards supporting the Gala Games ecosystem in a new and efficient manner is anticipated.
