Tech giant Microsoft has offered a grant to the blockchain game StarHeroes, a groundbreaking achievement for the game. As a result of this grant, StarHeroes now has access to work with big studios like Ubisoft and Microsoft Studios.

StarHeroes will now have access to Azure PlayFab as part of the grant. As the game joins the cloud platform, it will be joining the bracket of AAA titles such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Forza Horizon, and Sea of Thieves

What makes this grant unique is that Microsoft has never given such a grant to any Web3 platform yet – this is the first time ever a blockchain game has received a grant by a major firm or corporation, making it a historic collaboration.

This grant also indicates the change of attitude of major companies towards Web3 projects and how an increasing number of firms are continuously expressing interest in incorporating blockchain technology in their daily lives.

What This Partnership Means For StarHeroes

As stated earlier, the grant will allow StarHeroes to work alongside major studios like Ubisoft and Microsoft Studios. What this means is that it will open doors of opportunities for the game to grow and incorporate new user bases.

Even though some players are skeptical of NFT games and play-to-earn mechanisms,  StarHeroes is promising in its own way. Now that tech behemoth Microsoft has acknowledged its potential, more giants might come forward and show their interest in this project.
