In just two months after the launch of the beta version of My Defi Pet, the game has seen impressive growth. My Defi Pet’s native cryptocurrency DPET is the most trending coin in Asia and stands at an all-time high with more than 100,000 holders. Players on BSC have bought more than 1 million eggs.
My Defi Pet has presented a roadmap for future developments in this year and the next. It already had a very positive start, and these new developments have the potential to accelerate the growth further.
Let’s look at some of the important updated expected in the future.
My Defi Pet Marketplace
My Defi Pets released the breeding feature recently. In Q3 of this year, players will be able to buy, sell and trade these pets in an in-game marketplace. This will enable breeders to earn money by selling their pets and gives players a chance to get various new pets with different rarity levels and attributes.
My Defi Pet Staking
On top of earning from the game’s play-to-earn features like PvP battles in the future, DPET holders will be able to stake their tokens to receive a passive income. The staking feature will be launched in Q3 of this year.
My Defi Pet New Token + Play-To-Earn Features
A new in-game token will be released in Q4 2021 for the game’s play-to-earn features. In a sense, this reminds the Axie Infinity’s SLP model where players earn SLP and not AXS.
Think of DPET as the AXS.
In Q4 2021, the following play-to-earn features will be introduced:
- PvP Battle
- Campaign Mode Player vs. Environment (like Axie Infinity’s Adventure Mode)
- Daily Quest
In Q1 2022 more play-to-earn features will be launched:
- Campaign Mode (Unlock more maps)
- Pet Expedition (Send your pets on expeditions to earn rewards)
- Endless Tower
Pet owners will also be able to lend their pets to other players by Q2 2022.
My Defi Pet Seasons
The game progress will be broken down into smaller parts, aka “seasons”. Each season will have its reward pool and a specific duration.
Season 1 will begin in Q3 2021 with a prize of 100,000 USDT.
Season 2 will begin in Q2 2022.
My Defi Pet Mobile App
Players will be able to access My Defi Pet through a mobile app which will be released in Q2 2022. Details about the features of this app are not yet disclosed.
My Defi Pet NEXTGEN Pets + Land Sales
A new class of limited edition pets dubbed “NEXTGEN Pets” will be up for sale in Q2 2022.
In Q3 2022, players will be able to buy lands in My Defi Pet through a Limited Land Sale. Landowners would potentially earn money by extracting resources or hold special events, however, no official details are out yet.
My Defi Pet In-Game Features
In Q3 & Q4 2021, the following in-game features will be added:

- New UI & UX
- Sell cage feature
- Banks for increasing Silver storage
- Skill System (reveal unique skills of pets)
