Terrariums: Halloween 2026 starts Oct. 24 and ends Nov. 7. The Axie team published the details on its blog Oct. 16.

Fixed Flame bonuses for Nightmare parts

Over the two-week event, Nightmare parts and bodies give a set amount of Atia’s Flame on top of an axie’s normal output. A Nightmare part is worth 200 Flame, a Shiny Nightmare part is worth 300, and a Nightmare body adds 200.

All qualifying parts count, and the bonuses stack with existing Flame contributions.

The blog post ran the numbers. A fully evolved axie with one Nightmare part gets 40 base Flame, a 58.8 evolved part boost and the 200 Nightmare boost. That moves it “from 98.8 to 298.8 Flame, an increase of about 202%,” according to the post.

For the high end, the post’s second example uses a Mystic axie with four Nightmare parts, one Shiny Nightmare part, a Nightmare body, three Nightmare accessories and Tristar. That axie reaches “3,104.5 Flame, up from 1,750.5. That’s about 77% more Flame,” the post said.

A multiplier for accessories

Three Nightmare accessories get the second boost: Nightbloom (Ground), Eyewyrm (Air) and Bloodmaw (Cheek).

Equip one on an axie with no Nightmare parts or body and it earns an extra bonus equal to its normal Flame. Put it on an axie with at least one Nightmare part or body and that bonus becomes three times the accessory’s normal Flame.

This pairing rule is why accessory volume grew so much faster than axie sales. The accessories only pay out more when they’re on a Nightmare axie.

Staked axies are locked

Plots activated in Terrariums, along with the axies assigned to them, are locked. While active, they can’t be listed, transferred or sold on the App.Axie marketplace.

That means the 22,000-plus Nightmare axies already in Terrariums stay off the market for as long as their owners leave them there.

The team said in an Oct. 14 recap that if this test succeeds, it may rotate boosts between axie types so each week plays differently.

Background

Sky Mavis shut down Homeland, its earlier land game, and Terrariums took its place. Terrariums went live in June, with the first earning tick on June 19 at 07:00 UTC.

Players activate land plots and assign axies to them. Each plot’s output depends on its Atia’s Flame, which is set by axie rarity, and on Lunium, an internal fuel that can’t be traded. A Mystic axie produces 200 times more Flame than a common one.

Local Lunium regenerates for free over about five days. Global Lunium is bought with bAXS, AXS, USDC or WETH, and Sky Mavis has said the revenue from those sales goes toward strengthening the ecosystem, including buying axies.

Plots pay out bAXS every hour. How much each plot gets depends on its strength compared with competing plots in the same land category.

Sky Mavis calls the current release Version 1. Land items, accessories and deeper utility are planned for later versions.

The Halloween event runs alongside Axie Infinity Origins Season 19, which entered its Epic Era on Oct. 14. The Mystic Era is scheduled to start Oct. 28.

The Axie blog post ended with a single line for owners: “Give your Nightmares their turn at the Shrine.”
