Oasys, an EVM-compatible blockchain designed for gamers by gamers, decided to fully launch its mainnet after one year of extensive partnership-building, ecosystem development, and growth.
The announcement of the mainnet’s launch comes alongside the partnership Oasys has with Quantstamp, a leading blockchain security firm that will handle security matters for the Oasys blockchain.
In their press release, Oasys mentions that the implementation of the mainnet will run in three distinct phases designed to stabilize, integrate and enhance the overall ecosystem.
“The blockchain gaming ecosystem has grown rapidly over the past few years, reflecting an increasing appreciation of the value that projects such as Oasys have brought to the wider industry. However, now is not the time to reflect on past accomplishments but focus on the exciting possibilities of the future. The Mainnet launch is a significant step forward in creating a fully-functional, public-led gaming blockchain that will transform the gaming future and give extensive value to players and game developers alike.”

The Oasys Mainnet Launch Strategy
Firstly (25 October), Oasys’s 21 initial validators (Square Enix, SEGA, Ubisoft, Bandai Namco…) will begin taking operations of all nodes, ensuring that Oasys layer 1 (The Hub Layer) will maintain a stable performance.
Secondly (8 November), Oasys will begin integrating Oasys layer 2 (The Verse Layer) on top of the existing framework.
Lastly (22 November), after both the Hub & Verse layers are stabilized, essential components will start to be integrated into the Oasys ecosystem, ultimately enhancing the gaming performance and user experience (Oasys Hub).
It is also notable to mention that Oasys has also formed a partnership with tofuNFT, the largest multi-chain NFT marketplace, taking a step forward to expand Oasys’ gaming ecosystem!
