Web3 trading card game Parallel has announced a major update with the launch of its Aftermath expansion and the rollout of its mobile version in the Philippines.
The Aftermath expansion adds 90 new cards to the game, each offering fresh gameplay strategies and collectible value. The expansion is currently in its presale phase, with the public sale set to begin on November 23.
Aftermath Expansion Brings New Gameplay Features
Aftermath is the second Parallel TCG series expansion following the earlier Planetfall set. The new release includes 90 unique cards designed to add more depth to the game. Each card introduces mechanics linked to the game’s five main factions, giving players new strategies to build stronger and more diverse decks.
Players can buy Aftermath Packs for 11 $PRIME, the game’s official currency. This currency can be earned through playing or purchased on platforms like Coinbase, Uniswap, or the Echelon Base Portal. Each pack contains 10 items, which may include:
- First Edition Cards (FE): Standard cards in common to legendary rarity for use in gameplay.
- Special Edition Cards (SE): Collector-friendly versions of existing cards with higher rarity.
- Prime Assets: Rare items like Redeemables, which can unlock Masterpieces, Avatars, and other in-game rewards.
Only 1,500 Redeemables are available, adding extra value and scarcity to these packs.
Aftermath Packs are stored on the Base blockchain, ensuring transparency and security. Players can redeem their packs by connecting a wallet to the official redemption page, selecting the packs, signing the transaction, and waiting for the cards to appear. The process usually takes under 15 minutes. All redeemed assets can be used in the game one week after the public sale ends
