This marks the second gameplay update the Americas team has made public this year through its own channels, following one released May 28.
How the Americas server got here
ROLA went live on Dec. 18, 2025, operating under an official license from Gravity Co., Ltd. (NasdaqGM: GRVY) that spans Latin America and North America. Maxion had initially aimed for Dec. 11 before delaying the debut by a week.
Launch content included a Mission Event, a Guild Level Rush and the first season of Monster Hunting. Players who joined early received a limited-time New Player Welcome Adventure Pack.
Ahead of that, a closed beta ran Nov. 20 to Nov. 26, 2025, giving Maxion a look at early progression, class balance, how the player economy behaved and server performance. Pre-registration and the pre-sale both opened Nov. 13 and closed Dec. 10.
The economy layer
The ION token underpins the ROLA economy, while Moonstones serve as the premium in-game currency. Maxion also runs a marketplace where in-game assets change hands, plus a Universal Exchange containing both a Token Exchange and a Zeny Exchange.
Documentation from the studio spans episode releases up to Episode 7.0 and describes systems such as Nova Space and Golden Fortune.
What the sibling server has been getting
A separate Landverse news portal covers Maxion’s other Ragnarok Landverse service, and the patch history there offers a rough picture of the content pipeline supplying the franchise.
The January update, titled “Awakening of the New World,” delivered a set of scrolls: Holy Defender, Sacred Fist, Atomic, Crimson Stalker, Iron Heart, Darkness Fang, Luxury Hunting and Fallen Angels. “Brilliant Celebration” arrived in February, centered on Worthless Wonders content and a Refine Challenge.
Subsequent patches unlocked Port Malaya — a tropical village reached by sailing southwest from Alberta — with players introduced to it through a storyline about a missing fishing vessel. Bangungot’s Hospital arrived in the same update, along with the Buwaya and Bakonawa exterminations, timed alongside the “Final Bond of Midgard” and “Eclipse of Landverse: Ayotaya” events.
Next came an EP 14.2 Eclage patch, which brought the Laphine capital, fresh weapons and Malangdo enchants.
Quality-of-life additions have been sparser by comparison. One placed an NPC Resetter in Izlude at coordinates 128, 149.
Accounts are limited to 10 resets apiece, with the first five costing nothing.
Maxion Tech was founded in 2021.
