Ragnarok Online Landverse America Receives Sept. 10 Gameplay Patch From Maxion

Maxion delivered a gameplay update for Ragnarok Online Landverse America on Sept. 10, with the complete patch notes posted at news.rola.maxion.gg.

Word came via ROLA’s X account, which shared a link but no accompanying summary. The studio handled Aug. 13 and Aug. 27 identically, sending players to the news portal rather than spelling out the changes in the post itself.

A two-week cadence

Four weeks have now produced three updates. The Americas team moved at a much slower pace before that run: through its own channels, the Aug. 13 patch counted as only the second public gameplay update of the year, coming after one released on May 28.

Comparable timing shows up on Maxion’s other Landverse services. Patch notes reached the Thai service on Sept. 2, then again on Sept. 9. Publishing rights for the Landverse titles — a lineup that also features Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis — sit with Maxion Tech.

What’s been feeding the franchise

Classic Ragnarok Online episodes have supplied much of the recent Landverse content. Port Malaya debuted as a tropical village players reach by sailing southwest out of Alberta, framed by a storyline about a fishing vessel gone missing, and shipped together with Bangungot’s Hospital as well as the Buwaya and Bakonawa exterminations. Accompanying them were the “Final Bond of Midgard” and “Eclipse of Landverse: Ayotaya” events.

Next came an EP 14.2 Eclage patch bringing the Laphine capital, fresh weapons and Malangdo enchants.

Content hasn’t been the only focus. A quality-of-life patch dropped an NPC Resetter into Izlude at coordinates 128, 149, limiting accounts to 10 resets while making the first five free of charge.

Further back, a January update called “Awakening of the New World” handed out scrolls that included Holy Defender, Sacred Fist, Atomic, Crimson Stalker, Iron Heart, Darkness Fang, Luxury Hunting and Fallen Angels. In February, “Brilliant Celebration” built around Worthless Wonders content and a Refine Challenge.

Background

ROLA launched Dec. 18, 2025 across Latin America and North America, operating under an official license from Gravity Co., Ltd. (NasdaqGM: GRVY). Maxion had first targeted Dec. 11 for the debut before delaying it by a week.

The title combines the MMORPG’s original systems with item ownership on Ronin and an economy steered by players. Both regions had pre-registration open in the run-up to launch.

Launch day came with a Mission Event, a Guild Level Rush and Monster Hunting’s first season. Players who joined early received a limited-time New Player Welcome Adventure Pack.

A closed beta had run from Nov. 20 to 26, 2025.
