Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is shutting down. Sony’s mobile multiplayer spin-off leaves all digital stores on Nov. 21, and its servers close permanently on May 1, 2027.
Sony revealed the game with developer Oh BiBi in November 2025. It now joins the other multiplayer projects Sony has canceled. Oh BiBi confirmed the cancellation in a post on its official site. Development has ended entirely, and the last update was released yesterday, Nov. 6.
What you have left
If the game is already installed, these dates decide how long you can play. It comes off storefronts in two weeks, on Nov. 21. Anyone who has it on their phone before then can keep playing until May 1, 2027, when it shuts down for good.
The game gets a long goodbye for something that barely went beyond its test markets. Ranger Rumble launched first in Indonesia and the Philippines. It later expanded to more countries, including France, Canada, England and Sweden.
What Ranger Rumble was
Plenty of players never saw it on their phones. Ranger Rumble was a mobile action multiplayer game set in the Insomniac Games franchise, and it pitched fast combat, humor and familiar characters from the series.
In the game, players completed missions on a range of planets, improved their weapons and joined up with other Rangers for online challenges. The servers will keep all of that running until May 1, 2027. Then they switch off.
