Valhalla’s v1.13.0 patch targets mobile readiness and sets the stage for economy changes

valhallas v1 13 0 patch targets mobile readiness and sets the stage for economy changes In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Valhalla (official site) says the upcoming v1.13.0 patch will get the game ready for mobile, streamline its battle and account systems, and lay the groundwork for economy changes that remain undetailed.
  • Since its mainnet launch on June 30, 2025, the title has been playable in the browser on opBNB. An iOS and Android app was originally promised for 2025 and has since slipped to 2026.
  • Nothing has been published on timing, patch notes or the specifics of the economy work, and the same post dangled “something else” without elaborating.

According to Valhalla, its next patch will make the game mobile-ready, flatten a pair of its core systems and set up economy changes the team has yet to describe.

“The patch will prepare Valhalla for mobile, simplify battle and account systems, lay groundwork for upcoming economy changes, alongside other improvements,” the team wrote in a post on X, describing v1.13.0 as “a big foundational update.”

No launch date accompanied the announcement, and no patch notes went out with it. The post closed on a tease: “And apparently, there’s ‘something else’ coming too.”

Mobile has been promised twice

Valhalla currently lives in the browser. Back in March 2025, FLOKI pointed to user demand and said an app for both iOS and Android would arrive “later this year,” adjusting its roadmap accordingly. It never materialized. The mobile build is now penciled in for 2026, and the client-side work in v1.13.0 is the first sign of it at the patch level.

The app is expected to bring across the core game along with its earning mechanics and NFTs.

The economy piece is groundwork, not the change itself

Two in-game currencies, Runix and Onyx, sit alongside FLOKI in the game’s dual-currency structure. Earning comes from tournament payouts denominated in FLOKI, marketplace sales of captured and trained Veras, resource farming and crafting, and seasonal events. A multi-million dollar treasury has been committed by FLOKI to player rewards.

Spending inside the game doubles as a token sink. On the deflationary side, FLOKI relies on automatic buy-and-burn funded by FlokiFi Locker fees, burn penalties applied to early staking withdrawals and the sinks built into Valhalla, with the project shifting away from a hyper-deflationary model and toward a capped supply via burns.

Which of those levers v1.13.0 actually touches has not been stated. The team’s only claim is that the patch prepares for changes arriving later.

Battle and account systems get simplified

Fights play out turn by turn on a hexagonal battlefield, with players fielding Veras that each carry their own stats and abilities — a design that favors planning over quick reflexes. What “simplify” actually means for combat or for accounts is spelled out neither in the post nor in any published notes.

The previous patch pulled in the opposite direction. Valhalla pushed v1.12.2, “Reworked Roots,” to mainnet with gameplay updates to four Veras that added abilities and mechanics instead of paring them back. A visual update to tile selection was also announced by the team.

Before that, v0.35.0 introduced new Veras, enchanted amulets and a resource called Vera Essence. The same patch blocked duplicate Veras on a single team, nudging players toward more varied rosters.

Background

More than three years of development preceded Valhalla’s June 30, 2025 launch on opBNB mainnet, a release that marked FLOKI’s transition from meme token to a product line. Network gas fees generally come in under a cent.

FLOKI’s roadmap extends beyond the mobile app. Also listed are a cross-chain Telegram and Discord trading bot whose fees feed FLOKI buybacks and burns, FLOKI-powered digital bank accounts in several currencies, and a Chinese edition of Valhalla.

The clearest published change to the game for the moment is still the one from v1.12.2, in which Hushroom “introduces Mycelium Stance, trading mobility for healing.”
