In Brief:

  • A 45-day recap from AFK Heroes puts player earnings at $14.3K in AFKHERO against $53K in spending.
  • Completed sales on the in-game marketplace hit 43,076, drawn from 391,858 listings created, for $48.06K.
  • For every $1 taken out of the economy, players fed roughly $3.70 back into it.

Over its opening 45 days, AFK Heroes saw players push $53,000 worth of AFKHERO into the game and take $14,300 back out, according to a recap the team posted on X.

Measured in tokens, sinks absorbed 1.36 billion AFKHERO while payouts to players came to 370 million. That leaves a gap of close to four to one.

Apart from a week-one report covering a far narrower window, this is the first time the team has published accounting for the economy as a whole.

Marketplace did most of the volume

Player-to-player trading made up $48.06K of the total, or 506 million AFKHERO, spread over 43,076 completed sales. Against the 391,858 listings players created in the same period, that works out to about one listing in nine finding a buyer.

Week one, by contrast, saw the team report a little over 10,100 item trades — some 97.7 million AFKHERO, or about $14,900. In token terms, marketplace turnover has since climbed more than fourfold.

Where the numbers came from

A voxel idle RPG playable in the browser, AFK Heroes arrived on Solana in June. A Phantom or Solflare wallet gets players in; from there they send a hero out onto the map, which keeps accruing XP, gold, loot and AFKHERO even with the tab shut.

Friday, July 24 brought Season 2, which followed an early-access waitlist gated behind a Founder Pack limited to 500 units. Guilds, crafting, tournaments, PvP, server-wide zone bosses and a Powerball feature all came with it.

By the team’s account, opening week pulled in more than 10,000 connected wallets and roughly 6,000 active players. Within that group, 5,521 had leveled a hero, 6,177 were active across seven days and 3,946 within 24 hours, while concurrency peaked near 2,400. Paying users numbered 5,305, behind more than 23,000 economic transactions.

That week’s deposits reached 378.9 million AFKHERO versus 126 million paid out — about 4.7 million a day between them. The team also logged 53.3 million AFKHERO burned and a contested reward pool sitting on 113.6 million tokens, worth roughly $17,400 at the time.

The run wasn’t smooth. Security issues, withdrawal problems and sybil attacks all hit during that opening week, the team conceded.

Emissions went up, then got weighted

An overhaul of rewards shifted 50 million AFKHERO into the reward pool and pushed the daily emission rate from 5% to 20% — four times as many tokens reaching active heroes. Bundled into the same overhaul was Earning Boost, which adds as much as 80% in extra personal yield for finishing tasks such as depositing tokens, spending in game and linking X and Discord accounts.

Separately, the team has talked up a stronger in-game gold, pointing to a jump from 0.20 AFKHERO per 1,000 gold at the close of Season 1 to 1.60 — eight times higher.

The token hasn’t followed

AFKHERO came to market via pump.fun and graduated. Circulating supply stands at roughly 944.84 million out of a 1 billion total, with recent trading near $0.000065 and a market cap of about $61,850. The token’s all-time high sits at $0.0005347, its all-time low at $0.00004387.

Holdings are concentrated. Supply is 72.11% controlled by the 10 biggest wallets and 84.19% by the top 25, while available liquidity hovers around $10.78K. Volume runs almost entirely through PumpSwap’s AFKHERO/WSOL pair.

Three wallet addresses are published by the team, covering the reward pool, the treasury and the burn address.

Even participation no longer decides how that reward pool is divided. “Power Level has been added as an additional factor in reward pool distributions. All existing earning mechanics remain active, but now, stronger Heroes can receive a bigger share of the pool,” the team said.
