In Brief:
- Wilder World (official site) has released version one of the Garage, a private area where whichever Wheel a player chooses from the main menu appears.
- Until now, the Open World Preview dropped players outside The Trenches with only six drivable vehicles available.
- The Garage acts as the gateway for wallet-connected Wheels, and eventually for Pack-driven upgrades and tuning.
Wilder World has switched on the Garage’s first version, handing players a private space where the vehicle picked from the main menu spawns.
“The first version of the Garage is live,” the studio said in a post. “A private location for your Wheels. Inside your garage spawns the vehicle you select from the main menu.”

The way players climb into a car is different as a result. Previously, the Open World Preview started them outside The Trenches and restricted them to a fixed roster of six drivable vehicles drawn from the in-engine lineup.
What the Garage gates
Player-owned Wheels enter the game through the Garage. Wallet connection arrives with Version 2, which feeds owned Wheels into the Garage Selector and makes them drivable out in the Open World. Version 3 broadens the system via Packs, introducing tuning and vehicle upgrades.
Reading straight from connected ZERO wallets, the reworked Garage displays every Wheel in a player’s possession next to each model that has been integrated into the game. The whole collection is viewable, but only vehicles a player owns, has rented or that are temporarily on offer during specific events can be equipped.
Bridging isn’t part of the process. The in-game wallet reads a player’s Z wallet address, while Ethereum wallets link up through ZERO.
Upgrades run through Packs
Packs sell from the main menu at a rate of one per day, priced at $10 in WILD, with three items inside each. Season One Packs come in six rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and WILD.
Pack-sourced Wheels upgrades cover five categories and influence speed, control and handling. On the cosmetic side there are rims, paint mods and pattern styles that can be swapped out. Because configurations save as presets, a player can toggle between a racing build and an exploration build.
Livery presets remain confined to the game itself. Onchain metadata — and how a vehicle renders in wallets and web3 collections — still reflects nothing but the original full body pattern.
Where the open world stands
Launched Dec. 19, 2025 as a gated test, the Open World Preview brought testers in through weekly waves. Roughly 250 Wilders were active in it, and the opening iteration spanned just one district, Nexus, instead of the entire island.
Game Release 0.11.1 brought stability to the Garage, Packs and notification flows, resolving loading, camera and interaction issues that cropped up as players moved between menus. That same build reinstated collision across traffic and park areas, made teleporters function reliably, sealed off unintended map access and sharpened vehicle handling on several models. Impacts now trigger shield effects correctly.
Multiplayer landed as a separate addition, marking the first time players could be in Wiami simultaneously. Alongside it came Team Breach events, where loot scales according to squad size, and Forum Agents stationed at major city intersections.
Still on the roadmap: backpack inventory, extraction at the Neural Station and player-to-player trading at the Bodega Market, with equipped items and session WILD at risk on death. Behind those sit voice chat, a larger map and full City Storage and Bank functionality. Performance work and a Steam launch are penciled in for later this year.
Background
Wheels was the first industry Wilder World brought to market. Wilder Wheels Genesis consists of 6,396 procedurally generated vehicles.
Work on rebuilding the collection kicked off with Dev Log 5 on March 1, 2024, giving every model a redesign featuring wide body kits, unique lights, ICE engines and the project’s own wheels. Over 42 upgraded vehicles have made it into the engine so far, each with its own handling characteristics and a defined Performance Group.
Private garages are also nothing new within Wiami’s lore. The Hideout — an underground network of garages spread across The Island — has long offered members shelter from auto theft and vandalism, along with travel between locations via an underground rail system named PANGAEA.
Repairs for damage are handled in the garage UI and cost nothing at present. The studio intends to attach a price to them down the line, as an incentive for players to drive with more care.
