AOC redemption returns
Axie Infinity holders are preparing for the return of Atia Original Crystal (AOC) redemptions. By combining five AOCs, users will be able to mint an Origin axie through a mechanism whose origins trace back to the game’s early presale. Each of the six body parts on an axie carries its own independent 7% shot at turning up Mystic.
Built on top of Axie’s foundational elements, this round is limited in supply. AOC, originally linked to referral tokens issued in the 2018 presale, has long been a signature perk for early supporters. When the rollout wraps, 275 new Origin axies will have been produced from the 1,375 AOC that recently migrated off Ethereum and onto Ronin.
The significance of AOC
AOC arrived during the presale, giving players a way to summon new Origin axies and widening what early gameplay could offer. No two Origins are alike, and the total is capped at 4,088 units. Because every axie is built from six parts, the chances of landing Mystic parts are meaningful. Standard breeding cannot produce these particular parts, which is what makes each resulting axie so scarce.
