Twenty bucks. That is the going rate for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PlayStation 5 at Amazon at the moment, where the price has slipped to $19.99, an all-time low for a game that swallowed whole winters when it first arrived.
The Nintendo Switch 2 edition has dropped as well, now listed at $34.99. That one is a record low too.
Anyone who has been delaying a return visit to Rebirth, particularly with Final Fantasy 7 Revelation coming, now has the excuse they were waiting for.
The Switch 2 version comes with something the PS5 one doesn’t
Pick up Rebirth on Switch 2 and an exclusive Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy promo card featuring Zack Fair is included. That extra makes the $34.99 read very differently if you happen to play both.
Alternate Zack art by Tetsuya Nomura, lead character designer on the original game and creative director of the remake trilogy, appears on the card. The store page notes that its abilities match those of the standard Zack Fair card from the MTG Final Fantasy set.
There is one catch to be aware of before checking out. The physical Switch 2 copy is a Game-Key Card, which means a download stands between you and the first second of play.
Remake Intergrade dropped too, and the math gets interesting
Over on Switch 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade has fallen to $29.99 at Amazon, barely above the $29.83 it has bottomed out at on the site.
Bundled into Intergrade are the complete events of Final Fantasy 7 Remake plus Yuffie’s side story in FF7R Episode INTERmission, which leads straight into Rebirth.
That means a Switch 2 owner looking to catch up ahead of the third and final chapter can pick up both titles for around $65. Two massive RPGs and a promo card, all for what a single new release usually costs.
Don’t sit on this one
There is no guarantee these prices hold. The PlayStation 5 deal sold out once already before returning, and figures this low may not resurface for some time.
