Fold a mobile controller in half — that’s Razer’s entire pitch with its latest gamepad, and the execution holds up.
The Prio is a small controller that connects to a handset through USB-C, supports both Android and iOS, and collapses flat once you’re finished playing. It’s pocketable in the literal sense rather than the marketing one.
At this size, compromises would be understandable. Very few show up.
Small body, real buttons
Onboard you get a tactile 4-way D-pad, face buttons, bumpers and triggers — console-grade controls, just miniaturized. Razer says the capacitive analog thumbsticks are “engineered to reduce drift,” a design choice the company claims preserves input accuracy “even on a bumpy commute.”
Because the connection is wired over USB-C, pairing is instant and there’s no extra battery demanding regular charges. That’s one fewer item on the list of things you can forget.
It fits the big phones too
Razer designed the Prio with most slim-to-medium phone cases in mind, and the clamp stretches to accommodate devices as large as seven inches. The current flagships qualify: both the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra fit.
In other words, a controller that tucks into a jacket pocket can still grip the biggest phone you’d realistically buy.
What you can actually play on it
Native mobile titles are the obvious use case. Beyond those, the Prio is compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link, PS Remote Play and Razer’s in-house PC Remote Play service — your desktop library, accessed through a controller that folds.
Pricing sits at $100 and it’s available now. Razer describes the Prio as the debut product in a new family of ultra-portable mobile gaming controllers, which means additional models are on the way.
