Sleepagotchi and parent Gotchi Labs land spots in Welcome3’s invite-only network

sleepagotchi and parent gotchi labs land spots in welcome3s invite only network In Brief:

In Brief:

  • According to Welcome3, Sleepagotchi (official site) and Gotchi Labs have signed on to its private network made up of founders, investors, exchanges and service providers.
  • Per the network, Sleepagotchi is the first vertical to go live under Gotchi Labs, operating an AI Sleep Coach that serves upwards of 500,000 users and roughly 80,000 daily actives.
  • The move comes after Sleepagotchi was restructured beneath Gotchi Labs, a consumer AI platform, and after its SLEEP token was renamed CHI.

Welcome3 says both Sleepagotchi and Gotchi Labs have been admitted as members, which places the sleep app and the company above it inside a circle whose roster spans exchanges, funds and infrastructure teams.

“@sleepagotchi and Gotchi Labs are now a part of Welcome3,” the network wrote in a post on X. “Sleep tracking was just the beginning.”

That same post pegged the AI Sleep Coach at “500K+ users and ~80K daily actives” and described Sleepagotchi as “the first live vertical under Gotchi Labs.” The closing line was a single word: “Apply.”

Terms went undisclosed on both sides. Welcome3 admits members by application rather than open signup, and it has published neither a fee nor an intake schedule.

What Welcome3 is

The group describes itself as “the network behind the network” — a private community of founders, investors and operators tied together by warm introductions and shared reputation. Its sales pitch leans on a theory of failure: that projects with potential go under because they bring on the wrong advisors, market makers and operators, or end up introduced to the wrong people.

Members fall into four buckets: VCs and institutional investors; founders and project teams; centralized and decentralized exchange operators and listing managers; and vetted agencies, recruiters and specialists. Sitting underneath those are sector groupings covering gaming, DeFi, Bitcoin, recruitment and stablecoin payments.

Among the organizations the network associates itself with are MetaMask, Animoca Brands (official site), BNB Chain, TON Foundation, Monad, Coinbase, Avalanche, Sui, CertiK, Anchorage Digital, eToro, AWS and EthCC.

The Gotchi Labs reorganization

Earlier this month Sleepagotchi unveiled Gotchi Labs, pitching it as a consumer AI platform that will stretch across a handful of everyday-life categories, with health and wellness serving as the entry point. As part of the same shift, the SLEEP token becomes CHI and is extended across products, rewards, access and commerce.

The app itself sticks around. It is being recast as the health and wellness vertical, and four agents are planned around it: a Sleep Coach for tracking recovery, a Wellness Coach that ties habits together, a Meal Planner and a Shopping Agent. After wellness, the stated order is fitness, then shopping, then productivity.

CHI is slated to be a Solana token. No TGE date has been set, and the company points to legal reasons. In the design it has published, users spend CHI on subscription discounts and premium agent features and stake it for higher tiers, while wellness brands and coaches stake to get listed on the platform and to run campaigns aimed at permissioned user segments.

Supported data sources include Apple Watch, Fitbit, Mi Band, Oura, WHOOP and phone sensors. In internal testing, the company said, its wake-detection model cleared 90% accuracy using phone sensors alone.

The numbers behind the app

Across its main mobile app and the LITE companion, Sleepagotchi has reported crossing 2.2 million all-time registered users, with daily actives sitting at 78,688 following the May launch of the AI Sleep Coach MVP. Two million of those all-time users come from the Telegram version by itself.

In the first quarter of 2025 the Telegram app placed among the platform’s five top-grossing applications, holding roughly 41% yearly retention. Over a trailing 12 months on iOS and Android, the company counted more than 300,000 new unique users, with a single-month peak approaching 180,000.

Use of the app bunches at either end of the day, concentrating in the first 10 minutes after someone wakes and the final 30 minutes before bed, and averaging 1.5 sessions per user per day.

Money and management

To date the company has raised $6.5 million, with 6th Man Ventures, Collab+Currency, Sfermion, 1kx, Alliance, Signum Capital, Everyrealm and GSR among its backers.

May brought a leadership change, with Kenny Wood stepping in as CEO and founder Anton Kraminkin shifting into a strategic advisor role. Wood has two decades in games behind him, beginning as an artist on Mattel’s Barbie titles before moving on to Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX, Transformers, Formula 1 and World Rally Championship. He also served as CTO of Moonlander, an AI world-generation startup, prior to its acquisition by Alpha 3D.

“Users are generating the world’s most valuable biometric data daily, and yet they own none of it,” Wood said in a statement announcing the pivot.

Signal Labs founders Shalini Wood and Aditya Julka came aboard as growth partners at the time of the Gotchi Labs announcement. Solana, Soneium and Square Enix are among the names the company has worked with.

Sleepagotchi greeted the Welcome3 news in a voice of its own. “Gotchi energy enters Welcome3,” the account posted. “Dino made the guest list.”
