There are 20 reward levels to climb. The studio’s announcement on X tells players to follow a trail and gather supplies as the Halloween season builds.

Rewards on offer
On X, the studio promised “20 levels of rewards” and said Rare items are up for grabs. The complete list came from the official Chainers NFT Telegram channel, where the announcement went up at 12:56 UTC on Oct. 20.
That post names Rare Light Tree Seeds, Uncommon and Rare Dark Tree Seeds, Spooky Cauldron Seeds and Aqualamps as part of the track, along with seasonal XP.
Progress comes from four sources: spending CFB, winning in Chainers Dreams, using fertilizer and completing TaskWall tasks.
Tree events since September
Several events built around the farm’s two trees came before “Roots of Darkness.” First was “Root of Light,” a progression event held Sept. 24 to Sept. 28. It brought in Light Tree Seeds, which players could craft up to Rare rarity, and shipped with nine new bundles sold as separate offers.
“Twisted Roots” followed from Oct. 9 to Oct. 13. Chainers promoted it as a double event offering “x2 rewards compared to common events.” Its Telegram announcement listed lootboxes containing CFB boosters, Dark Tree Deeds with high-yield seeds, and missions that paid out limited Dark Tree Seeds. Ghosty, a new animal, arrived with it.
From Oct. 13 to Oct. 16, “Restless Spirits” let players craft a Common Ghost from a Legendary White Ostrich, then unlock the Uncommon recipe. Finishing the event earned limited ghosts, Dark Tree Seeds and a Legendary White Ostrich.
Six new bundles came with it. Chainers said it eased the requirements so the event was easier to complete, and additional TaskWall missions remained available until Oct. 19.
Separately, the Dark Mirror event “Dark Reflections” ran from Oct. 15 to Oct. 20. It introduced a Dark Axolotl, Common Dark Fern Seed, Dark Water Lamp and Dark Pool Plots. A Mirror Pass was 20% off until Oct. 17.
Background
Chainers is a free-to-play browser game. In farm mode, players plant seeds, raise animals and harvest crops. The studio’s official site describes it as the first NFT farm where crops “bloom into real crypto rewards every few hours,” and says 500,000 Chainoors trust the game.
The in-game currency is CFB, and spending it is one of the four routes up the “Roots of Darkness” track, which closes at 12:00 UTC on Oct. 23.
