In Brief:
- Ronin is promoting Ragnarok Online Landverse: Classic, a new Landverse version based on Episode 5.0 content and the Class 2-1 job era.
- Manual Play and Auto Hunting are both available, and the two modes share the same server.
- Pre-registration for Southeast Asia is open through Gravity Game Tech and Maxion. Ronin Wallet appears as a login option on the official site, and there’s no launch date yet.
A new take on Maxion's Ragnarok game is getting a push from Ronin. Ragnarok Online Landverse: Classic rolls the setting back to Episode 5.0 and the Class 2-1 job system.
In a post on X, the Ronin Network account wrote: “Relive the nostalgia of classic Ragnarok with Episode 5.0 and Class 2-1!”
Ragnarok Online Landverse: Classic!
Relive the nostalgia of classic Ragnarok with Episode 5.0 and Class 2-1!
TWO ways to play on the same server:
Manual Play: Take on the adventure yourself and experience true classic Ragnarok gameplay.
Auto Hunting: Level up and farm items@RoninView on X ↗
Both play styles live on a single server. Ronin’s post laid them out as “Manual Play: Take on the adventure yourself and experience true classic Ragnarok gameplay” and “Auto Hunting: Level up and farm items.”
Two channels, one server
Channels handle the division. Classic runs a “1 Server, 2 Channels” structure, with Manual Play on Channel 1 and Auto Hunting on Channel 2.
That keeps hand grinders and automated hunters in one shared world. Neither group is moved to a server of its own.
The Class 2-1 era cap applies to job progression, so characters top out at Base 99 and Job 50. Large-scale PvP is supported, along with War of Emperium guild battles.
Aimed at Southeast Asia
For the Southeast Asia region, Gravity Game Tech and Maxion have launched pre-registration and an official community under the tagline “Back to Basic.”
The game uses the Freya Engine. According to the developers, it can handle more than 100,000 players on one server, and every Southeast Asian player will be placed on that single server.
Classic is cross-platform, playable in a web browser, on mobile or on Windows. A single account carries across devices.
Sign-up rewards are tied to four milestones: 10,000, 30,000, 50,000 and 100,000 pre-registrations. At 100,000, the official site says players get a costume “based on the country with the most pre-registrations.”
Where Ronin fits
Google and Ronin Wallet are both listed as login options on the Classic site. Nothing is said there about tokens or NFTs.
The site marks an in-game marketplace, “The Landverse Trading Hub,” as “Coming Soon.” The game guide section carries the same tag, and no launch date is posted.
Maxion PTE. LTD. is the publisher, and the copyright line reads “Gravity Co.,Ltd. x Maxion PTE. LTD.”
Background
Classic stands apart from earlier Landverse releases. Ragnarok Landverse (official site): Genesis had its official launch on March 29, 2025, using Episode 4.0 content. Classic advances that to Episode 5.0.

Zentry ZENT $0.001591 ▼ -3.8%, Maxion’s parent company, also operates a validator node on Ronin. Landverse was the network’s second Ragnarok title, following Ragnarok: Monster World.
