In Brief:
- Gigaverse (official site) has asked players on Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) to connect by Nov. 15, 2026, prove they own that wallet and link a new wallet that is not an AGW.
- Nov. 15 is also the last day to claim prizes from past events. Withdrawals and redemptions on the game’s redeem page pause that day at 18:00 UTC.
- The cutoff lands one month before Abstract shuts down on Dec. 15. Gigaverse is moving ROMs to Ethereum and plans to launch Gigaverse Online on Robinhood Chain.
Players who sign into Gigaverse with Abstract Global Wallet have until Nov. 15, 2026, to move their accounts to another wallet before the Abstract network goes offline.
The studio announced the deadline on X: “Urgent Deadlines: Abstract Chain is winding down Dec 15th. Claim prior event prizes and connect a non-AGW wallet before November 15th, 2026.”

Abstract Global Wallet users in Gigaverse must connect by November 15th, 2026, prove ownership of their AGW, and connect a new, non-AGW@GigaverseView on X ↗
According to Gigaverse, AGW users need to connect before the deadline, confirm they own their AGW and attach a new wallet that is not an AGW.
Redemptions stop on Nov. 15
The same date applies on the game’s redeem page, which states: “Withdrawals and redemptions pause Sunday, November 15, 18:00 UTC.”
The page says Gigabit will remain in user balances after the pause so it can be redeemed later on Ethereum mainnet. Before the cutoff, players can still convert Hard Cores into Hard Core boxes, claim Gigabit from Void Chips and Gigus Candles, and withdraw Gigabit and in-game USDC to their wallets as USDC.
Linking a second wallet matters because an AGW address on another chain might not work, or might not be under the same user’s control. Abstract has warned that assets sent to an unsupported network or an incompatible address may be lost permanently.
Abstract is closing down
On Oct. 6, Abstract said it would shut the network on Dec. 15, 2026. “After almost three years, we are saddened to share that Abstract is winding down,” the team wrote on X. Any funds left unbridged by the shutdown date will become inaccessible.
The chain was built by Igloo Inc., the parent company of Pudgy Penguins. Abstract gave “thin liquidity, a limited DeFi ecosystem and weak institutional crossover” as its reasons for closing, despite onboarding more than 400,000 users and hosting 144 applications at its peak.
Pudgy Penguins PENGU $0.007643 ▼ -2.9% CEO and Igloo co-founder Luca Netz said the company lost “tens of millions of dollars” keeping the network running over 18 months. Igloo decided against launching an Abstract token and is shifting its resources to Pudgy Penguins and PENGU.
To bridge out, users can go through the Migration Hub at migrate.abs.xyz or the native bridge at native-bridge.abs.xyz, which takes about three hours. Stargate, Relay and Jumper are also listed on the hub. Abstract’s engineering and ecosystem teams have said they will help apps relocate to other networks.
What comes next for Gigaverse
Gigaverse’s time on Abstract is already over. The Awakening, its final event, lasted about 60 days, wrapped up on Oct. 9 and offered a prize pool of more than $30,000. Nearly 6,000 accounts appeared in the final standings.
The game is offline, and its legacy contracts are being wound down. Under a plan the studio calls ROMs 2.0, ROMs will move from Abstract to Ethereum, with plans for Giglings and Giganames to come later.
Founder 0xDith said Gigaverse Online, the studio’s MMORPG, will launch on Robinhood Chain. He cited the chain’s liquidity, the reputation of the company behind it and the absence of XP farming. A launch date has not been confirmed.
To reclaim Awakening rewards and their Giganame, players will need to log into Gigaverse Online with their legacy wallet. Giganames remain reserved for three months after launch, and the old prize pool is being converted into a “gacha experience that rewards in USDC.”
