Bandai Namco has a November assignment for Elden Ring players: work together to complete Path of the Elden Lord. The community event kicked off on November 2 and wraps up on November 28, 2026, which gives the Lands Between nearly a whole month to chip away at it.
Path of the Elden Lord is the third entry in a set of four community questlines that Bandai Namco put together to pull people back into FromSoftware’s RPG. They work differently from regular quests. Every goal is shared across the whole community, and players on all available platforms count toward the same milestones. According to Bandai Namco’s official announcement, this round has four objectives.
The rewards for taking part
Clear the challenges as a community and every player unlocks a commemorative piece of art from Louis Gibiard, an artist known as vladinsk. Bandai Namco is also handing out a Twitch Chat Badge featuring Warrior Jar Alexander, with the design by Carsondrewit.
On Twitch, chat badges are the little icons shown beside a username, and viewers display them to prove they joined an event or unlocked something. Bandai Namco hasn’t spelled out the steps for claiming this particular badge yet.
Alexander was a smart choice for the badge. The jar sticks with everyone who meets him.
One of four monthly events
The wider celebration was first revealed by Bandai Namco on August 31. It’s a run of four community events, one per month, and each questline comes with its own set of challenges, its own commemorative art and its own Twitch Chat Badge.
Path of Shadows closes out the series. It focuses on the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, and its objectives include gathering Scadutree Fragments and making it to the Abyssal Woods. Anyone with an untouched DLC save should probably load it back up.
Progress updates and reminders about the challenges are posted on the official Elden Ring Discord server, which is also hosting its own emote contest.
Why the player count is already up
The schedule lines up well. Plenty of players went back to the Lands Between once Elden Ring Tarnished Edition launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026. That was the first time the game came to Nintendo hardware, so a whole new audience got to see the open world and take on its brutal bosses.
Tarnished Edition includes Shadow of the Erdtree along with a set of bonus content: two new starting classes, extra armor sets and fresh customization options for Torrent. On other platforms, players can get those same additions through the Tarnished Pack, a reasonable reason to start a new character.
You can buy Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 now, and it bundles the base game with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The Tarnished Pack DLC is sold separately for $4.99 on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Steam.
Path of the Elden Lord finishes on November 28. Path of Shadows follows, sending players after Scadutree Fragments and into the Abyssal Woods.
