VVS Finance has launched a new feature called Auto Harvest, allowing users of the Crypto.com Prepaid Card to automatically convert their DeFi yield farming rewards into fiat currency and spend them directly.
The update aims to make decentralized finance (DeFi) more usable for everyday purchases.
How It Works
Auto Harvest collects rewards from VVS token farms and, if the user chooses, transfers them to a connected Crypto.com Prepaid Card. Once the rewards reach a $6 minimum, they are automatically converted into fiat via USDC or a local currency equivalent and loaded onto the card, depending on the user’s region. Users can also choose to manually claim their rewards anytime without a processing fee.
A Step Toward Simplifying DeFi
This integration streamlines what is usually a multi-step process—harvesting, converting, and transferring crypto into usable funds. With Auto Harvest, everything happens automatically, making DeFi rewards easier to use in daily life. The feature currently supports all VVS farms marked with Auto Harvest compatibility.
Statements From Project Leaders
Esther Wong, Senior VP of Cards at Crypto.com, said that the prepaid card is “a vital bridge between the fiat and crypto worlds,” and that this update “enables seamless spending of yield rewards on everyday goods and services.”
Mirko Zhao from Cronos Labs emphasized that this feature gives users the freedom to either reinvest their earnings or spend them immediately, highlighting the flexibility it brings to the Cronos ecosystem.
Yotei, Product Lead at VVS Finance, called Auto Harvest “a breakthrough in making decentralized finance accessible to mainstream users,” removing barriers between earning crypto and using it in real life.
