Visit The Ancient Sites of Athens After The VulCon 2 Event!
The organizers have clarified that the event will be all day and all night long. So book your hotels as you’re in for a lifetime trip. As you get free from the conference, you can visit the fantastic city of Athens the next day.
The VulCon 2.0 Event will take place at Zappeion Megaron. You can visit many historical places at a short walking distance to taste what ancient Greek mythology is all about.
The Acropolis
Widely known as The Acropolis of Athens, it is an ancient site located above the rocky outcrop of Athens. When you look at the site from far away, you taste historical Greek architecture and old buildings. The most famous building in the Acropolis is the Parthenon.
You can see the Parthenon on the upper right side above. The Acropolis is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Acropolis Museum
The Acropolis Museum is home to Greek mythology’s most significant and valuable art collection. The museum’s architecture doesn’t look so ancient as the building was restructured in 2007.

Panathenaic Stadium
The Panathenaic Stadium is one of the most sought-after attractions in Athens, Greece. The unique thing about this stadium is that it’s the only stadium in the world that’s built entirely of marble. The stadium was built in 330 BC for Panathenaic Games.
The stadium was rebuilt in marble by Athenian-Roman Senator Herodes Atticus. (144 AD)
Also known as Kalimarmaro stadium, its only 400 meters away from the Vulcon 2.0 venue.
Kolonaki
Kolonaki is a neighborhood in Athens city center where you can go shopping and find some good places to have dinner.
The Kolonaki area starts next to the Parliament building. After the VulCon 2 event is over, you can head to Kolonaki and stroll through the streets to have a taste of modern-day Athens.
The Greek Parliament
Formally known as the Hellenic Parliament, The Greek Parliament is located in the Old Royal Palace. The building is located right in the middle of Athens (North of Syntagma Square).
Ermou Street
If you fancy some luxury shopping after you’re done with the VulCon 2 event, Ermou Street will be your sweet spot. The whole street is home to some of the most renowned international brands. The 1.5 km road is located in central Athens that connects the Kerameikos site with Syntagma Square.
Ermou street is also known as one of Greece’s crowdiest and busiest and busiest shopping streets.
Monastiraki Square
You find a lot of things in the heart of Athens, and the Monastiraki Square is one of them. You can go to the Square by taking different routes. The best way to get to Monastiraki Square is by Metro station. Just make sure you stop at Monastiraki station.
