Alien Worlds drone racing tournament opens with 100,000 Trilium on the line

Alien Worlds opened its Outlaw Troopers drone racing tournament Tuesday at 4 p.m. UTC, putting 100,000 Trilium in play across the event's leaderboards.

Outlaw Troopers X AW Drone Racing is a free-to-play browser title. Players fly anti-gravity drones through sectors drawn from the Alien Worlds universe, combining precision flying, tactical combat and loadout choices while dodging environmental hazards.

Combat carries as much weight as lap time. Power-ups scattered across the tracks let racers fire homing missiles, drop explosive mines or raise temporary energy shields to deflect incoming fire.

What the NFTs actually do

The game ships with six drone classes, from the nimble Speedster to the heavily armored Titan. Each has its own handling stats, a passive trait and an active ability such as an EMP blast or cloaking.

Anyone can race. But garage access runs through a Face NFT, which establishes the neural link to the drones, and rarity decides what’s in the hangar. Abundant and Common faces open the Juggernaut and Titan classes. A Mythical face unlocks the full fleet, including the Speedster.

Track access works separately. Every sector on the grid requires security clearance, and players import rarity tickets matching the circuit they want to enter. Higher-rarity tracks carry their own leaderboards and larger prize distributions.

Tickets aren’t consumed. Each one enters a 24-hour recharge cycle after use, and all NFTs stay in the player’s WAX wallet.

Second run in two months

The July edition distributed 7,000 TLM a day until July 9, for 200,000 TLM total. That event coincided with a sharp move in the token: TLM rose 55.15% in 24 hours on July 4 to $0.0025, alongside Aster listing TLM perpetuals with up to 5x leverage. Trading volume on July 2 ran more than 11 times its 30-day average.

TLM has since retraced, trading near $0.0014 with a circulating supply of roughly 7.01 billion tokens.

Where the crossover came from

FGL’s Outlaw Troopers is a sci-fi sandbox that pairs empire simulation with single-player and multiplayer real-time combat. The Alien Worlds tie-in went live with Season 15 in November, letting NFT owners field Troopers to harvest resources, fight in the Abyss Arena and run high-level encounters. Higher rarity means a higher-level Trooper, with extra powers, gear slots and mission bonuses.

Setup asks players to pick their highest-rarity NFT from the Faces schema as a warpoint generator, which determines leaderboard rank and TLM winnings, then select eight NFTs from the Levels schema to generate credits. Credits buy fleets, ship upgrades, revives, warps and buildings.

The partnership also runs Orbatroid events, cooperative real-time challenges where players have 24 hours to beat waves of enemy ships. One scheduled for Sept. 27 at 13:00 UTC carries 5,000 TLM and 100,000 Shards.

The plumbing underneath

Payouts route through the Alien Worlds competitions contract, built to push Trilium rewards to outside developers faster and at greater scale. Anyone can spin up a competition by calling the initcomp action, which makes the submitting account the competition admin. Prize pools grow when contributors transfer TLM to the contract with the competition ID in the memo, so communities, DAOs and individuals can all fund the same event.

Shard rewards get added through addshards, and admins post scores with scoreset or scoreincr. Each competition moves from registration to live play to result processing, with results reviewed before rewards are released.

Tournaments have become the main channel for putting TLM in players’ hands. More than 1 million Trilium has gone out through competitive events across Milky Way Miner, Battlefleet Armageddon, Mercenary Battlegrounds, Outlaw Troopers, Meta Battler and AlienHelpers.

None of it is new issuance. The Trilium comes from the existing sat.worlds wallet, with the Galactic Hubs grant team auditing and approving competition rewards until the process is handed to the community.
