New Royal Rampage Season Wipes the Leaderboard and Reopens KEPI Rewards

A new Royal Rampage season is underway at Kepithor Studios, which wiped the leaderboard and put KEPI rewards back within reach of players willing to battle their way to the top, according to a post the studio published on X.

“Build your lineup, manage your energy and fight your way up the rankings,” Kepithor said.

How the payouts work

Rather than minting fresh supply, Royal Rampage pays out of prize pools. Advertising revenue, Battle Pass sales and direct purchases keep those pools topped up, and Kepithor says they currently hold about $28,000.

Part of that is split among the players who finish highest on the leaderboard. The same setup is used throughout the studio’s catalog, though sister titles run on their own schedules: KK Clicker resets Friday at midday UTC, while KK Heroes resets Monday at midday UTC.

What makes the economics unusual is the funding source. Kepithor built the ecosystem on ad revenue and platform fees rather than emissions, and there is no fixed inflation schedule topping up the reward pools.

Two servers, two economies

Players are divided between a Seasonal Server and a Permanent Server. No wallet or NFT is required on the seasonal side, which Kepithor’s documentation says resets on a three-month cycle so players can earn new cards on a clean board.

Crypto lives on the Permanent Server. Entry there means owning a deck of cards — either earned seasonally or purchased on the marketplace — and payouts in KEPI are tied to match wins and leaderboard standing. Nothing wipes; progress accumulates.

The matches are brisk affairs. Decks are assembled from a pool of more than 20 characters, the best 10 are equipped, and lane-based bouts last one to three minutes. In-game upgrades push characters from Common up to Legendary, and unwanted cards can be offloaded on the in-game marketplace for KEPI.

Ranking changes came earlier

This is not the first time the studio has tinkered with scoring. Kepithor previously imposed a 100-point ceiling on match scores and zeroed out every player’s score when the change landed, then bumped the prize pool by 1 million KKT to 8.25 million KKT. Before that came a 2 million KKT top-up that pushed daily prizes 25% higher.

KKT was the earlier token. It was swapped 1-to-1 for KEPI during the migration, a process in which Kepithor scrapped the team and treasury allocations, leaving most of the supply in circulation.

The token behind the prizes

KEPI is a BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain, deployed at contract 0x099Ea74Ed0a30f6Dcc5C7d5630eCE2aB5d147812, capped at a max supply of 300 million and subject to monthly burns.

Depth is limited. Practically all of KEPI’s volume flows through the KEPI/BSC-USD pair on PancakeSwap v2, and the token also has a listing on LBank.

Staking is available via the official dApp, where longer lock-ups earn multipliers and holders get a say on ecosystem updates and future reward emissions.

One login, seven games

U.K.-based Kepithor binds its titles together through a single sign-up and one shared token. Sign up for a single game and the account works across all of them, while KEPI made from selling an asset in one title is immediately spendable in another.

Certain assets are portable as well. Dragon NFTs can be played in five games: Royal Rampage, Kingdom Karnage, KK Heroes, KK Clicker and ENJ Excavators.

There is also an ads-for-rewards app in the mix. Crowns collected by watching ads in Kepithor Rewards convert into KEPI, which in turn buys troops in Royal Rampage.
