In Brief:

  • Karnage Clicker, Kepithor’s idle mining game, now goes by the name GEMHOLD.
  • According to the studio, the game gets a new look, a reworked interface and a new mining crew.
  • The clicker has held weekly prize seasons on KEPI, the currency shared across Kepithor’s games, since 2023, and this is its most recent change.

A new name, but the same tapping

The Karnage Clicker name has been dropped. Kepithor’s game is now called GEMHOLD.

Kepithor announced the change in a post on X. “Karnage Clicker is now GEMHOLD, with a completely new look, redesigned interface and a new mining crew to meet,” Kepithor said.

You might recognise the tapping habit. The mine? Take another look.

The post also hinted that the core gameplay loop is the same as before. “You might recognise the tapping habit. The mine? Take another look,” the studio said.

Kepithor didn’t say whether the rebrand changes anything for seasons, prize pools, the KEPI currency or saved progress. The studio also didn’t name the new miners or say when the update will arrive in app stores.

What we already know about the game

This isn’t the game’s first name change. It launched as Kingdom Karnage Clicker. Later its Google Play listing called it KK Clicker: Idle RPG, and most recently the studio has used Karnage Clicker.

The gameplay is simple. Players tap a giant gem to collect gems. They can spend those gems on workers who mine automatically, or on upgrades that increase gem income. Earnings keep adding up while players are away.

The store listing mentions nine auto-miners, each with its own upgrade tree, and more than 100 upgrades. The older Kingdom Karnage website lists eight characters.

The game runs on a weekly season cycle. Every season resets on Friday at midday UTC, and players compete on a leaderboard for a share of that week’s prize pool. Progress is saved to a Kepithor account.

Recent updates put offerwalls in the Upgrade tab. Completed offers count toward the weekly adverts players must watch to qualify for prizes.

The premium currency is KEPI, which works across Kepithor’s titles, including Royal Rampage, KK Heroes and the original Kingdom Karnage. Older listings called it KKT. The clicker also supports Kingdom Karnage Hero NFTs picked up in the studio’s other games.

How players have reacted

Google Play reviews are mixed, and some players have complained about bugs.

One reviewer wrote that the game “seems to kinda work now” but said it still wiped their gems when they closed it. Another described it as a good idle clicker with weekly resets and regular updates.

The app had about 9,400 downloads, and its listing showed an update dated May 18, 2026. A newer build, version 2.83, showed up on third-party download listings in July.

Background

Kepithor, which used to trade as Kepithor Studios, joined Enjin’s Early Adopter Program in November 2018. Its first game, the trading card game Kingdom Karnage, went into beta in May 2020.

The clicker launched in September 2023. The studio said then that it would add up to $6000 to the Season 2 prize pool.

Kepithor also runs ENJ Excavators, a similar idle mining game. In that game, players who mine more gems get a bigger share of the weekly ENJ rewards.

The studio ended its GEMHOLD announcement with an invitation: “Come explore your new digs.”
