Kintara Opens Beta Minigames Where Four Players Stake Gold on One Winner

kintara opens beta minigames where four players stake gold on one winner In Brief:

In Brief:

  • On September 4, 2026, Kintara switched on its first two minigames: Arena Deathmatch and Falling Tiles.
  • Lobbies come in free and gold-wagered flavours, and the house skims a slim 5% off the staked pot.
  • The formats run in parallel with the current Guild Seasons race, giving players a second thing to chase.

Kintara rolls out new minigames

Kintara now has minigames. Two formats went live, and each can be played for nothing or with gold at stake. The feature is in beta for now, and the studio is pitching it as a way to keep players competing and coming back.

Wagering mechanics explained

Wagered lobbies pay out on a winner-takes-all basis. Take a four-player Arena lobby: everyone puts in 10 gold, which builds a 40 gold pot, and the house takes a 5% cut. That leaves 38 gold for whoever comes out on top — a loop that rewards the better players while quietly pulling gold back out of the economy.

Free lobbies sit alongside the staked ones so players can learn the rhythm of a mode before any of their gold is on the line. That matters here, because no established meta exists yet for either Arena Deathmatch or Falling Tiles.

Diverse competition formats

Arena Deathmatch turns the combat system already used in Kintara’s wilderness zones against other players. Falling Tiles drops combat from the equation entirely, which means anyone lacking top-tier gear still stands a chance. That levelling effect narrows the distance between fresh accounts and long-serving veterans and lowers the barrier to joining in.

The team behind Kintara has signalled that this is only an opening move, teasing further modes, bigger tournaments and fatter prize pools down the line.

Guild Seasons alongside minigames

The release lands mid-way through Guild Seasons Season 1, which opened on September 1 and closes on September 30. Running both at once means a player can push their guild’s score and still dip into minigames, squeezing more out of a session rather than having to choose between the two.

Kintara in focus

Kintara, a free browser-based isometric MMO on Solana, debuted on May 22, 2026. Beyond combat there is gathering, fishing and crafting to work through, and getting started requires connecting a Solana wallet that holds at least 1 KINS token.

Its economy leans on gold for day-to-day trading and for wagers, backed by a player-to-player marketplace. KINS, with 1 billion tokens in circulation, gates access and unlocks gameplay features.

The game had drawn 20,540 monthly active players by June 2026, with concurrent peaks landing somewhere between 800 and 1,300. Its recent arrival on the Solana dApp Store has pushed that reach wider still.

With minigames now in beta, Kintara is widening what counts as competition in the game and holding the door open for veterans and newcomers alike.
