For eight dollars a month, one bill now covers a blue checkmark, a chatbot and a coding tool. That is the idea behind the X Subscription, a combined membership that SpaceXSI unveiled on October 12, 2026. It brings Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium together under one plan, and what you get depends on which of its four tiers you pay for.

The company made the announcement on X, as you might expect.

“We’ve unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium. Introducing The X Subscription.” SpaceX Super Intelligence (@SpaceXSI) posted.

Start with the $8 tier

Plus is the individual tier, and it costs $8 a month. Subscribers get Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build, along with the Grok API and Cursor for coding.

The usual X Premium perks come with it too: a checkmark, fewer ads on the X timeline, enhanced creator tools and advanced analytics. The word to notice is “fewer.” At this tier, ads are reduced but not removed.

On paper, Plus is the best deal of the four. The entry price already gets you API access and a coding tool, and the more expensive tiers mostly add capacity and extra polish.

Removing ads takes $30

Premium costs $30 a month and includes everything in Plus. It adds Grok Bot, the latest Grok models, AI image and video generation through Grok, and faster chat responses.

Cursor users get code hosting, cloud agents and automations at this level. X users finally get ad-free scrolling, plus the option to secure their preferred handle.

That’s $22 more than Plus. If all you want is X without ads, you’ll be paying for a lot of AI tools you may never use.

The two top tiers mostly buy capacity

Super costs $100 a month and includes everything in Plus and Premium. Its only addition is priority access to Grok models at peak times.

Ultra costs $200. It gives subscribers the earliest access to all products and models and 20 times the usage capacity of Plus. With Plus at $8, Ultra costs 25 times as much for 20 times the usage. That math shows who the tier is for: people who hit their limits every day, not casual subscribers.

Premium, Super and Ultra are also offered for teams. Enterprise customers can get customized plans from the company.

How the name came about

Until recently, the company was called SpaceXAI. CEO Elon Musk said he would rename it after President Donald Trump pushed to use the term “super intelligence” in place of artificial intelligence.

Cursor joined the bundle because the company acquired the coding startup in August. Two months later, it sits in the $8 tier next to the checkmark. If you already pay for X Premium and you write code, try Plus before paying for a higher tier.
