Stellar Brings Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams to Its $4 Billion Network

stellar brings chainlink data feeds and data streams to its 4 billion network By integrating Chainlink oracles, Stellar has taken a major step toward giving developers real-time market data they can verify. Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams are now running on the Stellar mainnet. They provide pricing data for stablecoins, tokenized equities, and real-world assets.

In Brief:

  • Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure went live on Stellar’s mainnet on October 14, 2026.
  • Developers on the network can now pull verifiable price data for a range of digital assets, which expands what DeFi apps can do.
  • Stellar’s commitment under the Chainlink Scale program will make Chainlink’s data tools easier to access.

Chainlink Oracles launched on Stellar Mainnet

By integrating Chainlink oracles, Stellar has taken a major step toward giving developers real-time market data they can verify. Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams are now running on the Stellar mainnet. They provide pricing data for stablecoins, tokenized equities, and real-world assets.

Assets on Stellar are currently estimated at between 3.54 billion USD and 4 billion USD. With Chainlink’s tooling, Stellar developers can add collateral processing, loan-to-value calculations, and automated liquidations to the smart contracts behind their DeFi applications.

Two data products for unique needs

Chainlink rolled out two main products on Stellar. Data Feeds deliver price data that is updated at regular intervals, and Data Streams provide market data with lower latency. Used together, they cover core DeFi functions and let apps adjust collateral ratios in real time.

Company representatives said Stellar wants to widen the range of applications on its network. Possible use cases include prediction markets and perpetual futures on tokenized stocks.

Oracle costs covered through Chainlink Scale

Stellar pledged to cover oracle costs as part of the Chainlink Scale program, which makes Chainlink’s data cheaper for developers to use. The initiative was announced in October 2025 and is meant to let developers tap Chainlink’s resources without facing prohibitive costs.

The Scale commitment also covers Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), but that feature is not part of this rollout.

Stellar’s expanding ecosystem

Stellar has focused mainly on payments and tokenized assets and has processed billions of transactions. Its smart contract platform, Soroban, launched in February 2024 and made new DeFi applications possible. Major names such as Franklin Templeton and Circle use the network, which shows how relevant it has become.

Over the past month, Real-World Asset (RWA) transfer volume on the network rose 25%, and the stablecoin market cap grew 10%. Until now, tokenized assets had limited practical use in lending and trading because reliable onchain price data was not available.

Chainlink’s broader role

Chainlink secures a large share of the DeFi sector and has facilitated tens of trillions of dollars in onchain transactions. It also works with financial institutions such as Mastercard and Fidelity International, which strengthens its position in the market.

Market response

After the announcement, XLM fell 7.85% and traded between 0.18 USD and 0.19 USD in mid-October. LINK dropped 3.88% to around 12.42 USD.

Implications for web3 gaming

The rollout is focused on finance for now, but a reliable Chainlink data layer also matters for onchain games. Game developers can use price feeds to support in-game economies, asset valuation, and staking features.

Chainlink already powers a number of web3 games through its verifiable randomness service, although that service is not part of the current Stellar launch. As more Chainlink services reach Stellar, developers on Soroban will gain the trusted data infrastructure they need to build engaging games.
