Ronin’s announcement didn’t say which project won the season, nor did it reveal how much RON Craft World received.
Runner-up for a second time
This marks Craft World’s second runner-up finish since the program began. Back in Season 1, Axie Infinity AXS $1.06 ▼ -8.1% (official site) came out on top with over 97,000 RON in rewards, while Ronin noted that Gas Infinity and Craft World “earned about ⅓ of that.” Builders collectively received more than 410,000 RON that season.
In its post, Ronin summed up Craft World as a title in which players “gather resources, craft materials, and automate production in a world where every resource exists onchain.”
How builders are scored
Launched on May 14, 2026, Proof of Distribution rewards Ronin-based games and apps with RON according to the activity generated by their smart contracts. This activity is translated into a Builder Score, which sets how large a slice of the season-end RON pool each project receives.
At the time the leaderboard went live, Ronin said builders would receive 416,000 RON every month. Scores draw on gas spend, active users with more than 10 RON, new users with more than 10 RON, NFT and DEX volume, and smart contract volume.
Ronin’s launch weightings put NFT volume at 20.95%, DEX volume at 20.54%, gas spend at 18.13%, contract volume at 16.37%, active users at 12.89% and new users at 11.12%. The network described its scoring as “an evolving process and will be adjusted based on the behaviors we observe.”
One adjustment arrived with Season 5. On Sept. 10, Ronin introduced a RON Conviction multiplier that “takes community conviction into account.” Projects whose communities demonstrate stronger RON conviction see their scores lifted, while those with weaker conviction receive a smaller multiplier.
As an illustration, Ronin said a project holding a Builder Score of 700 with a 1.1 multiplier would finish with a final score of 770. The network said its current formula is 1 + net conviction / (gross conviction + K).
According to Ronin, PoD will have distributed more than 2 million RON to builders by the close of Season 5.
What gives Craft World an edge
Craft World’s whole economy lives on Ronin. Its primary currency, DynoCoin, is on chain, as is every crafting material. The game’s four core elements — $FIRE, $WATER, $EARTH and $AIR — feed into all crafting and can be traded through the in-game marketplace.
Ronin’s indie developer guide highlights Craft World as a game that transformed its Collect, Craft, Trade, Build loop into an on-chain economy “where over 25 unique resources act as ERC-20 tokens.” According to Ronin, this setup generates gas spend, contract interactions and DEX volume, which are three of the metrics PoD rewards.
VOYA Games has reported roughly 60,000 monthly active players and about 9,000 daily active players for Craft World, along with around 1,500 new installs each day.
Background
The studio got its start as Angry Dynomites Lab, a dinosaur-themed NFT collection that let holders generate in-game resources. It rebranded as VOYA Games in November 2023, though Angry Dynomites Lab remains the brand behind Craft World. The game soft-launched on web, iOS and Android in December 2023.
Drawing inspiration from Factorio, the game starts players at level one with a bare base, where they construct resource-producing factories and then merge those resources into new ones. Its Dynomite characters mine materials to restore a devastated Earth, team up on shared “Masterpieces” and ultimately build a rocket to escape the planet.
VOYA Games closed a $5 million round in May 2025, led by 1kx and Makers Fund, with participation from The Sandbox SAND $0.05568 ▼ -18%’s Sebastien Borget and Sky Mavis’ Jihoz.
The game launched on Ronin mainnet on July 29, 2025. As of June 30 of that year, its test version counted 2.7 million total accounts, 133,000 daily active users and 475,000 monthly players.
Since migrating, Craft World has surpassed 12 million transactions and staged crossover events with fellow Ronin projects, including “Craft World Meets Ronke,” a limited-time event that featured the Ronin characters Moku and Kanstar.
