Open questions
A separate details page was linked from the announcement. The post itself skips the achievement tiers, how large the perks will be and how land rewards get distributed.
There’s no word on whether achievements are permanent or seasonal. The studio also hasn’t defined what a “rainbow” is.
Oct. 27 is a Tuesday, which the studio described as the beginning of “the hunt.”
Part of a bigger collection push
Achievements come after Collector Binders, which arrived in Splinterlands on July 7. A binder is a public album for displaying owned cards. Players can arrange its pages, decorate them with stickers and leave public notes.
One free Collector Binder is available to every account. It includes three pages and a soulbound sticker showing the year the player joined.
The game’s release notes say cards stored in a binder can still be played and traded. If a player sticks a non-soulbound sticker on another person’s binder, ownership of that sticker passes to the binder’s owner and it turns soulbound.
Bloodlines across the year
Bloodlines have shown up in update after update in 2026. On March 17, the studio folded every Leonine bloodline card into the Feliform bloodline so they lined up with older cards.
Visions of Verico followed on June 30. It’s a limited-edition mini-set of 54 common land cards spanning every bloodline for Toil and Kin land production bonuses.
Maxing one of those land cards takes 400 Regular Foil copies, or 38 in Gold Foil. The Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane and Black Foil Arcane editions arrive at max level.
Earlier on, the studio put a Bloodline Synergy option into the mobile Team Create filters. Onboarding changed too: new accounts with no avatar now land on the bloodline selection screen first, where they previously got the default human male.
Latest patches
The new feature lands one week after a gameplay update. On Oct. 20, Splinterlands made the Kindred Spirit and Kindred Will abilities immune to mimicking and introduced a ruleset named Equalized Armor.
With that ruleset active, each unit begins with the same armor as the highest-armor unit on the field.
On Oct. 13, the studio opened its Hallows Fall event with new Spooky and Haunted skins. Starting with the second October season, it also doubled the Modern Bracket winnings cap from 2% to 4%.
Each account’s free Collector Binder carries a soulbound sticker showing the year the player signed up.
