Samurai Task Force will arrive as a pre-launch version. Beyond “next week,” the team hasn’t named a release date.

How the game makes money, and the burn

According to the team, Samurai Task Force is “100% Free to Play: Optional in-game items and a Founder’s Pack for those who want to support us.”

The post gave no prices or contents for either the in-game items or the Founder’s Pack.

The team also linked the launch to the token. “First $1000 income will get burned in $KATA,” it wrote, without explaining how or when that burn will happen.

Open questions

The post’s description of the game stops partway, reading “An idle battler with” and nothing more. The rest of the gameplay details are missing, as are the platforms and any explanation of how $KATA will be used in the game.

No other public information on Samurai Task Force came up in a web search. For now, the X post is the only source on the game.

The other nine titles weren’t named, and no timeline was given for them.

The main game

Samurai Task Force is in a different genre from the project’s main title, Katana Inu. That game, developed and published by ChainVision Games, is a free-to-play third-person PvP action game built around sword combat, with 1v1, 3v3, free-for-all and battle royale modes.

Its store page shows Katana Inu entered Early Access on Steam on Oct. 22. The Steam listing says the game has no pay-to-win and doesn’t mention crypto, tokens or NFTs.

The official site describes the Steam build as the standard version of the game. Web3 features and $KATA token functions are switched on through a separate Katana Inu Launcher.

In the launcher version, per the site, players holding $KATA and NFTs can level up, track their stats and progress and earn $KATA back based on time played and skill. Token holders also get tier rewards and season perks, and the developers said all skins are cosmetic only.

On June 30, 2025, ChainVision opened a Katana Inu beta to all PC players. A Steam demo followed, running from April 14 to May 10, 2026. Console and mobile versions of the flagship game are planned.

Every Samurai Task Force Founder’s Pack sale counts toward the first $1,000 that the team said will go to the $KATA burn.
