In Brief:
- On Oct. 28, VALOFE released AVA RE:BIRTH, its PC FPS spin-off of Alliance of Valiant Arms, in Japan, Thailand, Brazil, North America and Europe.
- Hunting Field, a PvPvE extraction mode, arrives at launch alongside the class-based team play carried over from the original AVA.
- The original game closed the same day. OneChain promoted the release after hosting an AVA RE:BIRTH pre-registration challenge on its ONEquest platform.
VALOFE opened overseas service for AVA RE:BIRTH on Oct. 28 (KST). NEXUS is co-publishing the free-to-play PC shooter with VALOFE, and players can get it through Pmang and VFUN.
The original Alliance of Valiant Arms went offline on the day the new game arrived. Its Japanese version had been running since Dec. 1, 2008.

Pre-registration numbers
According to VALOFE, pre-registrations climbed from 200,000 to 350,000 once it announced the launch date on Oct. 23. Pre-downloads also opened that day.
G・O・P, the game’s Japanese operator, reported a figure above 500,000. It started service in Japan at 18:30 local time on Oct. 28. To celebrate the milestone, it’s handing all players rewards, among them the limited Dark Hunter weapon series.
A VALOFE official said, “Thanks to the interest and feedback sent by players from the CBT through pre-registration, we were able to welcome our official launch.” The official also said, “We will continue to deliver updates by communicating with players.”
Hunting Field
Hunting Field is the biggest new feature. VALOFE first revealed it on Aug. 28 as a mode exclusive to AVA RE:BIRTH. Players drop in, gather supplies and try to make it out alive.
AI enemy soldiers and rival squads occupy the same field, and every group competes for loot on the way to extraction. Gear brought back from Hunting Field can be used in the game’s other modes.
The mode uses reworked versions of maps from the original game, including the series’ urban and desert areas. Since the beta, VALOFE has tuned enemy difficulty, spawn points and AI behavior. It has also adjusted controls and weapon response.
For launch, Hunting Field gets a boosted drop rate. There are also daily present codes, limited quests and a battle pass named RE:BIRTH.
Launch features and what comes next
Pointman, Rifleman and Sniper, the original’s three classes, are all back. The launch build also has item trading between players, a new game mode, custom rooms where players set the match rules, and server selection.
Equipment comes from gameplay and missions. VALOFE said it refined the combat controls using feedback from its closed beta, which started Oct. 1. That test opened recruitment with 2,000 slots and later expanded to 5,000 participants.
Clans are still missing. A winter update is planned to bring clan battles, tournaments and a cost system. Under that system, every weapon and armor piece has a cost value and each loadout has a total cap, so stacking the strongest gear won’t settle a match on its own.
OneChain tie-in
Before launch, OneChain’s reward platform ONEquest hosted an “AVA RE:BIRTH. Pre-Register Challenge”.
VALOFE and its launch materials haven’t mentioned tokens, NFTs or onchain items in the game itself.
Background
VALOFE licensed the Alliance of Valiant Arms IP from NEOWIZ and developed AVA RE:BIRTH as a spin-off on its own. It announced the project on Aug. 6 and revealed the title afterward, with a fall 2026 release window.
On Aug. 26, operators of the original game said it would shut down on Oct. 28. At its peak in Japan, the original AVA hosted 70,000 matches a day, and it drew more than 2.8 million players overall.
