In Brief:

  • MARBLEX says Seven Deadly Sins NFT Adventure will stop running on Nov. 11, 2026, at 11:00 (UTC+9).
  • The shutdown lands roughly three and a half months after NFT Adventure’s second season, licensed from Kodansha, launched on Immutable on July 30.
  • A September report found MARBLEX’s MBX token sitting about 99% below its 2022 listing price, with the Netmarble subsidiary’s equity in negative territory.

Seven Deadly Sins NFT Adventure has a closing date. MARBLEX posted a service termination notice on X saying the game ends on Nov. 11, 2026, at 11:00 (UTC+9).

The X post pointed players to a Medium announcement for “more details and important notes.” It said nothing about NFTs that are still out on exploration, or about Demon Meliodas NFTs staked for MBX. Anyone holding either should read the full notice before the deadline.

A brief lifespan

Seven Deadly Sins was season two of MARBLEX’s NFT Adventure service. It was also the first season to use IP licensed from Kodansha, the Japanese publisher. The season went live on Immutable X on July 30 at 14:00 UTC+9, and its NFTs traded on TokenTrove.

By Aug. 11, MARBLEX was reporting a sellout: all 15,000 NFTs in the Seven Deadly Sins collection had been summoned.

Clearing the adventure gave players a Demon Mark. That mark, combined with 140 MBX, could be exchanged for a Demon Meliodas NFT. Players who didn’t have a mark could pay 180 MBX for one instead, which made completing the adventure worth a 40 MBX discount.

Supply of Demon Meliodas was capped at 1,000 NFTs. MARBLEX later said on X that nearly 200 of them hadn’t been claimed yet.

How staking worked

No other NFT in the season could mine MBX through staking. At Level 1, a Demon Meliodas had a lifetime mining allocation of 200 MBX. Paying to upgrade it to Level 2 lifted the maximum cumulative allocation to 900 MBX.

The base staking APR was 100%, and Demon Meliodas got a 3x boost on top.

MARBLEX pitched the swap this way: “Demon Mark + 140 MBX = Demon Meliodas! Stake it to grab a total of 900 MBX with a massive 3x higher APR!”

The money side

MARBLEX’s finances have been under strain. In September, South Korean outlet MoneyToday reported that as of late June the company had assets of about 30.5 billion won and liabilities of 83.8 billion won.

Those assets were down more than 50% from 68.2 billion won at the close of the prior year. The company recorded a semiannual net loss of about 2.1 billion won, and its total equity was negative 53.3 billion won, meaning complete capital impairment.

The same report put MBX at about 35 won, roughly 99% under its first listing price in 2022. MoneyToday linked that slide to the broader fall in virtual asset markets that followed the COVID-19 period.

Where MARBLEX goes next

The company says its Web3 business will continue along three lines: expanding MBX Store and MBX Pay, Web3 publishing for projects outside its own, and an all-in-one virtual asset financial gateway.

Among its recent launches, Meta Toy Dragons Saga hit No. 1 on the Google Play Store less than 10 days after it released in August. Pixel Tamers also went global in August. In October, MARBLEX announced a partnership with Microsoft on game publishing and AI.

Growth in its home market isn’t something the company is counting on soon.

“Web3 faces multiple regulations in South Korea, making significant growth difficult at this stage, so we view it as a future business and continue related research,” a MARBLEX representative said.
