An hour before this article went up, 775,647 people were playing Phantom Blade Zero on Steam at once. No other single-player game has reached a figure that high on Valve’s store this year.
The action game from S-Game launched on PC and PlayStation 5 only a few days ago. It became the most-played single-player game on Steam for 2026 almost right away, and its player count hasn’t stopped climbing.
Well beyond 700,000
The game left the 700,000 mark behind some time ago. Many expect it could climb past 800,000 to 900,000 concurrent players over the weekend, once people have a few spare hours to put into it.
Every one of those players is in a single-player game. Phantom Blade Zero has no multiplayer mode to bring groups of friends back online together, yet it is drawing crowds this big. That suggests people want to play it on their own.
Sales are still unclear
S-Game hasn’t shared official sales figures, which leaves the player count as the best evidence for now. A game doesn’t get that many people playing at the same time unless it has sold a lot of copies.
Another figure is also making the rounds. According to reports, Phantom Blade Zero has already sold more than 1 million copies, but no official data supports that claim yet.
The 1 million figure will remain a report until S-Game confirms it. The 775,647 concurrent players are a matter of record.
