What’s in the zone

Three items made Ronin’s list: roaming prototype maps, working through new story quests and trying to bring down Baphomet. “Midgard is calling, @ROLAmericas Alpha Zone awaits,” the network wrote in its post.

This marks the Americas team’s first Alpha Zone since those servers came online.

Who runs it

Running on Ronin, ROLA is covered by a Gravity license spanning North America and Latin America, with publishing rights held by Maxion Tech Co., Ltd.

ION powers the in-game economy, while Moonstones serve as the premium currency. Maxion additionally runs a marketplace for in-game assets alongside a Universal Exchange that houses both a Token Exchange and a Zeny Exchange.

Signing in via Ronin gives players access to a Universal Mailbox, NFT inventory, staking and token minting, plus the ability to route items to a character’s Rodex mailbox or put them up on the marketplace.

The road to launch

Pre-registration for the Americas servers opened in November 2025, and ROLV Packs went on sale through the Ronin Store starting Nov. 13. Between Nov. 20 and Nov. 26, a closed beta took place, entry to which required pre-registration.

December 2025 saw the North and Latin American servers go live. At launch, the content slate covered a Mission Event, a Guild Level Rush and Monster Hunting’s debut season.

What shipped in 2026

Updates have landed steadily in the months since. The January release, “Awakening of the New World,” shipped scrolls such as Holy Defender, Sacred Fist, Atomic, Crimson Stalker, Iron Heart, Darkness Fang, Luxury Hunting and Fallen Angels. “Brilliant Celebration” arrived in February, centered on Worthless Wonders content and a Refine Challenge.

Subsequent patches opened up Port Malaya and Bangungot’s Hospital, introduced the Buwaya and Bakonawa exterminations, and hosted the “Final Bond of Midgard” and “Eclipse of Landverse: Ayotaya” events. Next came an EP 14.2 Eclage patch bringing the Laphine capital, new weapons and Malangdo enchants.

Less flashy but equally consistent has been the quality-of-life work. Maxion stationed an NPC Resetter in Izlude at coordinates 128, 149, limited accounts to 10 resets and left the first five free of charge.

The Aug. 13 gameplay update followed, with full patch notes published on the ROLA news site instead of inside the announcement itself. Community feedback from the Americas is passed by Maxion to Gravity’s development team, and the studio’s roadmap promises further maps, classes and gameplay features.

The previous large-scale test on these servers carried rewards for participants. Anyone who hit Level 90 before the November beta wrapped up walked away with a costume Arc Angelring Hat along with Mana, Orange and Health Potions.
