In Brief:
- In a Monday morning post on X, ZarGates announced that its Heroes of Valdir NFT collection would open for minting the following day.
- The team described the launch as “a major step toward our upcoming TGE,” though no date for that event has been announced.
- A community contest with more than 950 participants produced the first pack of 36 heroes. Creators earn royalties both on the mint and on secondary sales.
In a post on X, ZarGates told followers that the Heroes of Valdir collection would mint the next day, and it linked the release directly to its long-promised token generation event.
The team wrote that “This launch means a lot to us,” adding that the mint represents “a major step toward our upcoming TGE.”
Gm, 𝕏-Fam!
May your morning be magical and wonderful!
Tomorrow is mint day for the HEROES OF VALDIR collection! This launch means a lot to us — it's a major step toward our upcoming TGE, and by the way, we've got a surprise prepared for all collectors that'll be announced@ZarGatesView on X ↗
The project also teased “a surprise prepared for all collectors that’ll be announced,” but gave no details on what it would be or when it would be revealed. The post likewise left out a mint price, any supply figures beyond the first pack, and a direct link to mint.
Community-built heroes
The collection’s heroes were designed by the community. Through a series of creative challenges on X, ZarGates invited users, mostly AI artists, to create a hero set in the world of Valdir.
According to ZarGates, more than 950 people joined in. The team selected 36 heroes from those submissions to form the first pack to be minted as NFTs, and it is also making a cinematic promo trailer that showcases all 36 winners.
The project said creators whose heroes were chosen will receive a minting royalty plus an ongoing royalty from secondary sales. So far, more than 1,000 creators have contributed to the Valdir story, according to ZarGates.
The team has described the collection as “a new chapter in creating a LORE with our community, where NFTs become part of IP that our community will co-own.”
Ties to Pvpvibe
The heroes connect to games built on the Pvpvibe AI platform. ZarGates has outlined a location known as the Ziggurat, where players are meant to mine resources for upgrading their heroes in those games.
Back in June, the team unveiled Stacia 1.0, which it described as a game creation algorithm built for AI creators. According to ZarGates, the tool can produce a game from a single prompt.
The hero contest wasn’t the end of the Valdir lore events. On July 31, ZarGates kicked off a Tales of Valdir boss creation event, inviting creators to design bosses for dungeons that rifts have opened across the land. Some community submissions in these events have been labeled as paid partnerships with AI tool sponsors.
A long road to TGE
Talk of a TGE from ZarGates dates back to 2024, when the team said its primary objective was to surpass 15 million users before the token generation event.
In a 2024 podcast, the project discussed plans to make 100% of tokens available at TGE. It also pledged that the top 500 players on one leaderboard would get a spot in a pre-market event with guaranteed token allocations ahead of the TGE.
About a year ago, Duncan Scott, ZarGates co-founder and chief financial officer, told investors in an update, “Our TGE is coming.” A date has yet to follow.
On X, ZarGates presents itself as publishing and infrastructure for gaming companies. It also operates a Telegram bot app and an NFT sticker collection on Telegram. At one point, a hacker compromised the project’s X account, and the team has since urged users to trust links only from official channels.
The project’s X bio includes a three-word disclaimer: “All posts NFA.”
