Gods Unchained GODS $0.02192 ▲ +1.1% (official site) is overhauling the way card fusing works. Starting Wednesday, November 4, the whole Forge process lives inside the launcher. You press Fuse, wait a few seconds, and the new card appears in your wallet. The old routine of being sent to the website to sign two transactions per forge is gone.

Three steps now happen together as a single action: your cards are burned, the fee is paid and the new card is minted. If any part fails, none of it goes through.

Setting things up the first time

After November 4, your first forge with any wallet triggers a one-time setup in your browser. There you give the Forge permission to burn the cards you select and to take the GODS fee for each forge. Once that’s done, forging from that wallet is a single click.

  • The setup is tied to each wallet, so you’ll repeat it once for every wallet you use. Getting the prompt again after switching wallets is normal.
  • IMX Passport users will see the approval in a pop-up. If your browser blocks pop-ups, allow them for the launcher.
  • If you use MetaMask, you complete the setup in the browser with MetaMask, just as forging used to work. From then on, MetaMask isn’t needed to forge.

Nothing changes about recipes or costs. You put in the same cards and get the same card back, and the Flux and GODS fees for every rarity are unchanged. The card you forge is still an NFT in your wallet, which you own and can trade as you always have.

Any forge still waiting on a website signature should be completed before November 4. It’s listed in your Forge history in the launcher.

The reason for the change

Under the old system, burning cards and paying the fee were two separate transactions. On rare occasions a forge would burn the cards without minting a new one. Bundling everything into one transaction removes that risk, and players stop having to switch back and forth between the launcher and the website.

The approvals exist because the Forge itself now carries out the burn and collects the fee. It acts only when you start a forge in the launcher, and only on the cards you chose and the fee displayed on screen. Your wallet might list the GODS permission as an unlimited approval. That approval means future forges don’t need to ask again, and it is used only to take the fee for a forge you begin. Either approval can be revoked from your wallet whenever you like, and the launcher will walk you through setup again the next time you forge.

When a forge goes wrong

You won’t lose your cards to a failed forge. Since the burn, payment and mint are one action, an incomplete forge leaves your cards untouched and you aren’t charged. Just try it again.

A message saying a forge is still processing means the network is running slower than normal. The forge completes by itself and should appear in your Forge history within a few minutes.

The fee is taken from whichever wallet you pick in the Forge, so that wallet must hold enough GODS to pay it. GODS is issued by Gods Unchained Corporation (BVI). Immutable Pty Ltd is an independent service provider and does not issue GODS.
