loot survivor adds free three player pvp dungeons with over 8000 in usdc prizes In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Loot Survivor (official site) is launching PvP Dungeons. Three players sit at each table, a new table opens every day for a week, and the prizes add up to more than $8,000 in USDC.
  • It costs nothing to enter. Sign-ups open Nov. 7, and the first tables run on Monday, Nov. 9.
  • Before this, Loot Survivor players competed mostly on leaderboards for single-player runs. PvP Dungeons are the first time the game puts players against each other at the same table.

Loot Survivor’s dungeons are getting a player-versus-player mode. Every table holds three players, and more than $8,000 in USDC is in the prize pool.

In a post on X, the official @LootSurvivor account wrote: “3 players. 1 table. Over $8,000 in USDC up for grabs. PvP Dungeons are coming to Loot Survivor.”

According to the account, a new three-player table opens each day for a week, and players pay nothing to enter.

Dates and format

@LootSurvivor said sign-ups open on Nov. 7 and the first tables take place on Monday, Nov. 9.

The @StarknetGaming account shared the news in a post of its own and summed up the format as “3 players. 1 table. Only the best run wins.” Its post carried the same numbers: “$8,000+ in USDC up for grabs,” free entry and “A new 3-player table every day for a week.”

That post also put the start of sign-ups at Nov. 7 and ended by asking: “Who’s taking a seat?”

Neither account said how the USDC will be divided among the week’s tables, how many players can register overall or how the three players for each table will be picked.

A change from solo runs

PvP gives the game a new way to play. Loot Survivor is an arcade-style roguelike on Starknet built by the studio Provable Games. Its original GitHub repository describes the loop this way: “add some tokens, try to get the highscore and live for eternity onchain.”

No two runs are the same, and the game never ends. Each level is harder than the one before it. Until this mode, players went after the high score on their own and competed with each other only through the leaderboard.

The game is built on Death Mountain, an engine its developers call a token-agnostic, no-code onchain dungeon creator. Provable Games’ documentation states that every action, combat and loot generation included, is deterministic and verifiable onchain. All of the contracts are open source and verified on Starknet.

How a run works

Each adventurer has eight equipment slots and seven stats: Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma and Luck. Fights are turn-based and follow a weapon triangle: Magical beats Brute, Brute beats Hunter, and Hunter beats Magical.

Critical hits come from Luck, while Dexterity determines whether a player can flee. There are 75 beasts, 75 obstacles and 101 items in the game. Charisma sets market prices, and randomness comes from VRF.

When players kill a beast, they collect it and earn $SURVIVOR tokens. Those Beast NFTs are used in Summit, a king-of-the-hill game from Provable Games.

Background

Loot Survivor launched on Oct. 31, 2023, together with the original Golden Tokens. With Golden Token V2, each of the 160 V1 holders received an airdrop of seven new ERC721 tokens, for a total supply of 1,120. Holding a V2 token gives one free Loot Survivor game per week.

The game has a free practice mode. Standard mode works with any Starknet-compatible wallet, Argent X and Braavos among them.

Entry to the new PvP tables is free, and the first of the week’s seven three-player tables runs on Monday, Nov. 9.
