Axie Infinity’s Terrariums V1.1 pulls accessories and land items into the bAXS earnings formula

axie infinitys terrariums v1 1 pulls accessories and land items into t In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Sky Mavis has released Terrariums V1.1, allowing land items, accessories and Fortune Slips to lift a plot’s Atia’s Flame — and with it, the plot’s cut of the hourly bAXS pool.
  • Decoration is no longer just cosmetic: as many as eight land items fit on a single plot, and boosts multiply when an item matches the plot’s environment.
  • The first week of V1 generated $95,753 from Lunium sales, while 52.8% of 16,886 plots were activated and locked.

With Terrariums V1.1 now live, the assets that have been gathering dust in Axie wallets directly affect a plot’s bAXS output.

The rollout was announced by Ronin on X. “Decorate your Terrariums with Land Items, equip Accessories, use Fortune Slips, and grow your Atia’s Flame,” the account wrote. According to CoinMarketCal, the release landed on July 22.

Under V1, a plot did exactly one thing: mine bAXS hourly from the axies assigned to the shrine, with rarity dictating nearly all of the outcome. Slips, accessories and collected items counted for nothing.

How the Flame math changed

Two separate layers now feed the calculation. At the individual level, an axie’s Flame comes from its rarity-based value, plus a boost for evolved parts, plus a boost from accessories.

From there, the plot totals the Flame of each axie working the shrine and applies multipliers. The formula Sky Mavis published reads: Plot’s Flame = round down [Total of all working axies’ Flame × (1 + % Land Item Boost) × (1 + Fortune Slips Buff)].

The split is significant, since multipliers applied at the plot level raise every axie stationed there simultaneously. Every land category distributes a fixed hourly bAXS pool, divided among plots by Flame share — contribute 5% of the category’s Flame and you collect 5% of the pool.

Land items get a job

A plot can hold as many as eight land items. Rarity determines how much Flame each one adds, and each item also improves AXP earning potential, ranging from 1% for Common up to 4% for Mystic.

How far that boost stretches comes down to environment. The formula given is: % Land Item Boost = (Total % Boost of Matching Environment Items × Environment Multiplier) + Total % Boost of Remaining Items.

Holders of Genesis and Luna’s Landing plots receive the multiplier across the board, whatever environment the item belongs to. Everyone else has to earn it through matching, though mismatched items still contribute their base boost.

An example from Sky Mavis: three Forest items adding up to 1.65% trigger a ×1.2 multiplier for a total of 1.98%, three additional items contribute their base 1.6%, and the plot ends up with a 3.58% Land Item Boost that applies to every axie at the shrine.

Accessories and slips

Each axie can be equipped with five accessories. The size of the boost depends on both the axie’s collection and the rarity of the accessory. Pair a Mystic accessory with a Mystic axie and it adds 9 Flame; a Common accessory on a Normal axie contributes 0.1.

Accessories translate into Flame while an axie works the shrine. During rest periods, they generate AXP based on rarity instead.

Fortune Slips deliver a flat 10% Flame buff lasting 24 hours. Stockpiling them doesn’t increase the bonus — it lengthens the timer, with every purchase tacking on another 24 hours. Rather than waiting for the following tick, the buff kicks in right away, and it wears off on its own.

What activation costs depends on land rarity: three slips for a Savannah plot at the low end, up to 2,880 for Luna’s Landing.

Benefits for evolved parts arrived a week ahead of this update, on July 15. Rarer pairings yield more Flame per part, and stacking them on one axie is rewarded: five evolved parts on a single axie reach a ×1.45 multiplier and combine their Flame, whereas spreading one part across five axies leaves the multiplier at ×1.0. Evolved collectible parts additionally produce more Fortune Slips for that axie.

Where V1 landed

Terrariums V1 arrived on June 17, taking over from Homeland, which shut down for good that same day. Every land delegation contract was revoked and withdrawn at sunset.

The core loop hasn’t changed: activate the land, assign axies, burn Lunium each tick and collect bAXS by the hour. Should a plot exhaust its Lunium, its axies stop earning bAXS and start earning AXP.

Per Sky Mavis, roughly 3.32 billion Lunium sold during the first week, bringing in $95,753 in revenue paid via ETH, USDC, AXS or bAXS. Activated and locked plots accounted for more than half the total — 52.8% of 16,886. Collectible trading volume around the launch reached $520,551, alongside $193,316 in land volume.

A quality-of-life patch on July 2 resolved an issue where a plot’s Local Lunium pool failed to regenerate while Global Lunium was being used.

Up next on the roadmap is V1.2, bringing estate multipliers and a buff for multiple collectible parts. “V1 is the foundation. Each update ties your collection deeper into how your land earns,” Axie Infinity said in an X post, noting that the team plans to release full details as each update approaches. No date has been announced.

Traders should note one restriction: a land item that has been placed and locked cannot be listed or sold until its owner removes the lock.
