The Neon Zone is open again this week in Pixels, arriving with a reworked layout, a dance floor and a pool table wired to a reward pool the studio isn’t itemizing.
According to Pixels, the zone held onto its colors and overall vibe, but everything under them was rebuilt from the floor up. The new layout leans toward hanging out: more space for players to gather and smoother movement between areas.

A single price for every spin
Spin costs no longer shift around. Every spin is now 2,500 Stuff Stubs, and there’s nothing stopping players from spinning as often as they like. In its announcement, Pixels referred to the feature as the Vapourwheel.
On the prize side, players can pull temporary Gummy Auras in pink and red, Candy Skins and Gummy Bear outfits.
The pool table
A large number of items sit in the pool table’s reward pool, though Pixels released neither odds nor a complete drop list. “Grab a cue and find out,” the studio said.
Store restock
Fresh stock priced in Discovery Points arrived at the 3rd Dimension Redemption Store. The Candy Pulse Beacon runs 20,000 points for 30 days, while a Jelly Bean Jar goes for 5,000 points, also lasting 30 days.
Windmill, NFT Gate and Speck Gate all picked up new Candy Skins, meaning players can drop them onto any Windmill sitting on an NFT Land or onto any land gate to make it “a little bit sweeter,” as Pixels put it.
Also in the batch is a Candy Pathway decor item that ships with three arrangements players can cycle through using the frame flipper. The Giant Gummy Chest, meanwhile, holds 42 slots — more than any chest Pixels has put out to date. Additional candy items and Neon Zone themed decor filled out the rest of the restock.
Getting there
For anyone traveling from a Land or a Speck, Pixels restated its routing tip: skip the Terravilla teleport. Instead, bookmark a Land with an NZ portal on it, teleport over and click through the portal.
A Neon Zone gathering is on the calendar for Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 4 p.m. UTC with Luke hosting, and the zone will get a small energy boost for it. The week after has no session; the next one falls on Sept. 10.
Background
Leon’s Neon Zone first launched in August 2025 as an arcade district powered by ZoneZ Tokens, where mini-games paying out Stuff Stubs could be redeemed for rewards.
Pixels has tuned the zone’s economy repeatedly since then. Responding to Stuff Stub inflation, a December 2025 update dropped ranked games per day from seven to five, shifted the overall ranked leaderboard from a 48-hour cycle to a weekly one and reduced Stuff Stub output.
June 2’s VIP update added new Neon Zone prizes and shifted $PIXEL rewards entirely to Stacked. The studio positioned that move as part of a longer-term sustainability plan built around rewarding players who genuinely turn up and play.
Mines saw a rebalance of its own: the max bet was updated, and ZoneZ Tokens now count for 200 tokens rather than 100.
The shutdown wasn’t a surprise — Pixels had warned players a week beforehand that the Neon Zone was under construction and would be back within a few days to a week. That same post also mentioned Luke’s return.
