In Brief:
- Over the past 30 days, the Off The Grid (official site) marketplace recorded 636 sales settled on the GUNZ chain, totalling 1.5 million GUN, per the official GUNZ account.
- A Golden Yank Hat topped the list at 130,000 GUN, with a Cyrix at 100,000 GUN and a Meatport DJ Track titled “Enter” at 60,000 GUN rounding out the biggest trades.
- All marketplace inventory originates with players. Gunzilla (official site) only sells battle passes and collects fees on peer-to-peer trades, meaning the volume represents players dealing with each other rather than studio-issued drops.
In a post on X, the GUNZ account reported that the Off The Grid marketplace settled 636 sales over the last 30 days, with combined volume of 1.5 million GUN.
The biggest single trade of the period was a Golden Yank Hat at 130,000 GUN. Behind it, a Cyrix fetched 100,000 GUN, and a Meatport DJ Track named “Enter” sold for 60,000 GUN.

Those three sales add up to 290,000 GUN, a little less than one-fifth of the month’s total. Spread across the other 633 transactions, the average works out to under 2,000 GUN apiece.
How the numbers compare
GUNZ also posts weekly marketplace updates, which put the 30-day figure in perspective. Between July 3 and 10, the account counted 389 sales at an average of 917 GUN, and that week’s priciest item was an Ape-Fool’s Gold Mask at 85,000 GUN.
This isn’t the first appearance of the Golden Yank Hat in GUNZ posts. The account earlier spotlighted a buyer who spent $350 on one via OpenSea and moved it into the game, calling the hat one of the rarest items in Off The Grid.
Activity on the network itself has outpaced marketplace trading by a wide margin. One mid-July update tallied 1.14 million HEXes decoded in a week, a 33% rise week over week, with daily transactions topping 500,000 on five separate days and a high of 573,920 on July 13. Back on January 15, the chain handled 2.5 million transactions in a single day.
Player-sourced supply
Gunzilla does not sell in-game items directly. Its sole first-party product is the battle pass, which is required before a player can list anything for sale. Every other item must be earned in matches, mostly by extracting from the map, and then traded peer to peer, with Gunzilla taking a cut of each transaction.
The upshot is that all 636 sales, and the 1.5 million GUN they generated, came from players trading among themselves.
Trading happens both on the game’s native marketplace and on OpenSea, which added GUNZ chain support after launch. The first 24 hours of that integration generated $1 million in GUN-denominated volume, including a Tacoma Gun that went for 55,000 GUN. By January 19, GUNZ reported 20 million NFTs traded on OpenSea, with the collection then listing over 21 million items.
Background
GUNZ is an Avalanche subnet developed by Gunzilla Games for Off The Grid, its third-person extraction battle royale. Mainnet launched on March 31, 2025 together with the GUN token, and the chain is open to other studios as well. Early players moved from testnet to mainnet in January, beginning with the first 21,000 accounts, and Avalanche explorer data recorded a peak of more than 22,000 daily active wallets during that period.
For most of the year the GUN token has traded well below its launch price. The latest published figures put its market cap near $43 million, about 75% under its debut level, against a maximum supply of 10 billion.
Off The Grid is still in early access on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Gunzilla targeting October 2026 for the 1.0 release.
“The economy keeps growing,” the GUNZ account said.
