Grand Debut at Korea Blockchain Week

The Xion blockchain has strategically launched the Xion Arena Tournament during the Korea Blockchain Week, aiming to draw substantial attention from the gaming community and foster its growth within the APAC region. This robust event is structured to continue into early 2026 and presents an impressive prize pool of $720,000 (1 billion Korean Won). Aside from the cash prize, the tournament also features various other rewards including game credits, in-game assets, branded merchandise, and cutting-edge gaming equipment.

Chosen Game and Competition Format

Leveraging the widely respected Unreal game engine, the tournament has selected Gods Legacy, a game recognized for its intense beat-em-up gameplay, as the central competitive platform. The event begins with an early access beta phase exclusive to Korea Blockchain Week attendees and select participants. This introduction serves as a gateway into the broader competitive phases of the tournament.

Following the beta access, a player-versus-environment (PvE) phase will launch in November, open to all registered participants. This segment allows gamers up to three free daily credits, with additional credits purchasable, setting a pace for fierce competition as players strive to ascend the leaderboard and secure a spot in the subsequent PvP phase. This final stage is slated for December and will crown with an exhilarating grand final PvP contest in January 2026, where top players will clash for the grand prizes.

Vision and Engagement

As the curtains rose on the tournament, Xion’s CEO Anthony Anzalone shared his perspective, stating, “This is about showing how web3 can amplify the experiences players already love. By launching during Korea Blockchain Week, we are doubling down on our commitment to the APAC market, where the fusion of gaming and blockchain is shaping the future of digital culture.”

Invitation to Gamers

For those keen on diving into this high-stakes tournament, pre-registration is currently open on the Xion Arena website. This initiates the countdown to what is anticipated to be a highly competitive and riveting digital entertainment spectacle, marking a significant milestone in the amalgamation of blockchain technology and interactive gaming.
