In Brief:
- World of ClaudeCraft (official site) rolled out v0.40.0 on August 26, 2026, bringing the WOC Exchange with it.
- Hidden reserve auctions and bid bonds headline the feature set of the new player-to-player marketplace, reshaping how trades are struck.
- Freezing times have been slashed by performance work, while guild boards give players more ways to connect across the game’s map.
New player-to-player marketplace debuts
Version 0.40.0 of World of ClaudeCraft is now live, and its centerpiece is the WOC Exchange — a full player-to-player marketplace. Trading no longer has to run through direct trade windows alone, and the wider set of options gives the in-game economy firmer footing while formalizing how deals get done.
Several mechanics define the Exchange. With hidden reserve auctions, a seller can lock in a floor price that bidders never see, which pushes participants toward more considered offers. Bid bonds ask bidders to put up a stake, cutting down on frivolous bids and keeping auctions honest. And directed offers carry a negotiation straight from the trade window into the Exchange interface, so nobody has to restart a deal from scratch.
Rounding things out are buy now listings, a fixed-price route for players who would rather skip the auction process, plus wider trading support for cosmetic assets such as mounts and chromas.
Improved performance and interactive functionality
Two further changes ship alongside the marketplace. Town noticeboards have been converted into guild boards through the addition of guild signposts, encouraging guild activity across all three zones of the map and trimming the travel required for everyday tasks.
The performance gains are steep. What used to be a 5.6-second freeze now lasts under half a second — close to a twelvefold gain. The studio has also traced problems back to unread mail, and is telling players that clearing it out should help performance further.
Game overview and community engagement
Levy Street Games develops World of ClaudeCraft, with Reuben Horne serving as lead developer, and the title has been assembled with AI coding tools since June 2026. Interest in the project has been considerable: thousands of upvotes on Reddit and more than 1,000 stars on GitHub.
Nine character classes are available, each climbing from level 1 to 20, and the design leans on classic RPG systems paired with a handcrafted map dotted with places such as Eastbrook Vale and Mirefen Marsh. At endgame, players tackle elite dungeons and a ranked arena, with characters saved on authoritative servers.
The game runs in the browser and asks for no wallet connection. A Steam page already exists, with the team waiting on final platform approval before a wider release.
Claudium serves as the in-game currency, spent on cosmetics that carry no gameplay advantage. WOC, a community token on Solana, powers optional wallet connections that unlock daily rewards; at the time of release it changed hands at roughly 0.000108 USD, down 21.03 percent.
The title doubles as a reinforcement learning environment for AI training, another sign of its unusual makeup. “Everything, including the Exchange, was built in the open,” Horne said.
