HYTOPIA, the Web3 gaming platform built by the original NFT Worlds team, has announced the launch of its new Creator Fund, offering up to $125,000 in milestone-based grants for selected game developers.
The fund is part of HYTOPIA’s broader strategy to grow its ecosystem with high-quality, community-driven games and follows the platform’s migration to Coinbase’s Layer-2 network, Base.
Milestone-Based Support for Game Studios
The Creator Fund aims to support experienced development teams ready to launch flagship games on HYTOPIA. Each selected studio can receive up to $25,000, distributed across five key development stages: concept approval, closed beta, open beta, full launch, and final delivery. The funding is non-dilutive, meaning developers retain full ownership of their games and intellectual property.
In addition to grants, HYTOPIA offers selected teams engineering support through private channels, marketing assistance from its go-to-market team, and a favorable 75/25 revenue split, allowing studios to earn 75% of both primary and secondary sales.
Who Can Apply
The program targets established teams that have achieved over 10 million plays on Roblox or 100,000 mobile downloads. Each team must include at least one 3D modeler, one animator, and a developer skilled in JavaScript or TypeScript.
Applications are now open and reviewed within 48 to 72 hours. Accepted teams must complete a one-time KYC before receiving any funds. Applications for the Creator Fund are now live at https://creatorfund.hytopia.com.
HYTOPIA offers both no-code and SDK-based development tools that let creators build and launch games across desktop, mobile, and web.
Features include real-time camera effects, AI tools, quest systems, and monetization options. Developers can deploy instantly and share game links without dealing with backend hosting or infrastructure.
New Chain, New Token: HYBUX on Base
Alongside the Creator Fund, HYTOPIA announced a major platform update. The HY Foundation, a new entity in the Cayman Islands, will now manage the ecosystem and oversee its move from Hychain to Base, Coinbase’s Layer-2 network. The change brings lower gas fees and improved infrastructure.
HYTOPIA will retire its existing $TOPIA token and introduce $HYBUX as the new utility token. All $TOPIA holders will receive 2 $HYBUX per token through an airdrop, but they must first withdraw from liquidity pools and store their tokens in personal wallets to qualify.
The total supply of $HYBUX will be 10 billion, with new staking and marketplace rules in place to reward holders and support ecosystem growth.
The shift to Base is HYTOPIA’s final migration after previous moves across Polygon, Arbitrum, and its custom chain. With a stable foundation and powerful tools, the platform is positioning itself as a leading destination for Web3 game development.
