HYTOPIA has announced that IROC Studios, a well-known Roblox game developer, will be the first official partner of its newly launched $125,000 Creator Fund.

As part of this collaboration, IROC Studios will create Pawtopia, a voxel-based adventure game centered around pet collection and exploration.

IROC Studios’ Track Record in Game Development

With more than 15 years of experience and multiple hit titles on Roblox, IROC Studios is best known for Game Store Tycoon, which has reached over 110 million plays and built a community of more than 3 million fans. The studio specializes in creating interactive, community-driven games that keep players engaged over time, qualities that align with HYTOPIA’s vision for its Creator Fund projects.

Pawtopia will allow players to explore vibrant environments such as forests, crystal caverns, and mountain trails while collecting cube-shaped pets. These pets—ranging from familiar animals to mythical creatures—will have unique abilities that help players unlock new areas, uncover loot, and progress in the game. As players travel with their pets, the animals grow stronger, adding depth to the gameplay experience.

What the Creator Fund Offers

The Creator Fund provides up to $25,000 per approved team, paid in five milestone-based installments from concept approval to final delivery. Selected developers also receive engineering support, marketing assistance, and keep 75% of all primary and secondary sales revenue. Importantly, the grants are non-dilutive, allowing creators to retain full ownership of their intellectual property.

To qualify, teams must have launched a successful game with over 10 million Roblox plays or at least 100,000 mobile downloads. Each team should include a 3D modeler, an animator, and a JavaScript or TypeScript developer. HYTOPIA aims to work with five to ten studios during an initial three-month development phase.

A Platform Undergoing Major Changes

This partnership comes as HYTOPIA undergoes significant changes. The company has formed the HY Foundation in the Cayman Islands and will migrate from its own Hychain network to Coinbase’s Base Layer-2, aiming to reduce costs and improve infrastructure. The move will also introduce the new $HYBUX token, with $TOPIA holders receiving a 1:2 airdrop.
