Berserk TCG Getting Ready For Great Updates

Vulcan Forged has revealed the roadmap for it’s trading cad game, Berserk and how developers will handle it in the upcoming seasons.

By expanding the Berserk team with three new staff members, and a full-time QA staff member, the most exciting addition on the team, is Sheldon, aka Dudemk3, who is now responsible for the Berserk Project Lead.

The staff team will test and provide feedback, help developers fix bugs and add new features to the collectible card game.

The new season will also bring new cards, features, and better stat tracking mechanisms. As the Vulcan Forged team says, Harder, Better, Slower, Stronger.

Updates will be reduced once Berserk reaches a stable point and season 2 begins, content updates will slow to a single post-season patch (or two at most) to apply new balance, new content, and bug fixes ready for the upcoming season. There will be six seasons across the period of a year. Each season will run for three weeks and one week for tournaments. There will then be an off-season of 1 month to review data implement balance changes, bug fixes, new rules, and content.

With the new card acquisitions also comes a new method.

All the new cards added to the game will follow the same three steps, which are:

  1. The card set will go onto the beta test server for community feedback and balance changes.
  2. The card set will be released to the public for free to everyone for 1 season.
  3. The cards and season stats will be reviewed and balanced if necessary. Finally, they will be minted to NFTs ready for sale.

Meaning that cards will be first tested and then minted.

With all these additions, there is another thing we are excited about. Vulcan’s Vault Monthly Premium Pass will give a new approach to the basic 40 Origin Card NFTs.

How will it work?

A single word that can describe it is rental. Players will rent NFT Cards temporarily, where the earnings from which will be distributed back to the NFT owners who chose to lock their cards up for the month.
