In Brief:
- On Z Chain, Wilder World has rolled out Market Trading v1, giving players the ability to buy and sell packs and gear using WILD.
- Prices on the marketplace are set by players according to supply and demand, transforming items from fixed inventory entries into things that can be traded.
- A later expansion to Ethereum trading is on the roadmap, tying WILD into deeper liquidity.
Wilder World brings Market Trading v1 to Z Chain
Wilder World has formally switched on Market Trading v1 atop Z Chain, letting players use WILD to purchase and sell in-game assets. By doing so, the project converts items that were once static inventory pieces into commodities that can change hands, reinforcing its move toward an economy shaped by players themselves.
Access to the marketplace runs through Wilder World’s dedicated market page. Here, players can trade packs — which bundle exclusive NFT items dropped on a weekly basis — as well as the gear used in combat. Rather than counting purely on chance when they open a pack, players can now go straight for the specific items they want.
Trading infrastructure
Every transaction settles on Z Chain, the zk-powered framework built specifically for Wilder World, with the ZERO wallet handling settlement. WILD, the ecosystem’s native token, underpins all trades and keeps economic activity circulating within the community.
Looking ahead, Wilder World intends to broaden its trading reach onto the Ethereum network. Because WILD is an ERC-20 token, that step is designed to open access to deeper liquidity and lift the token’s value across platforms.
What’s inside Wilder World?
Set within Wiami, a neon-drenched cyberpunk world modeled on Miami, Wilder World was started by 3D artist Frank Wilder. Back in 2021 the project pulled in $3 million, aiming to construct a fully immersive metaverse instead of just another NFT platform.
The title is free to play on PC through the Epic Games Store. It first went public in August 2025 at Gamescom, where a capped 10-player deathmatch mode put combat on display across three maps alongside an assortment of weapons. Players are free to toggle between first- and third-person views, and all in-game stats are logged on Z Chain.
Technological backbone
Underpinning Wilder World is a bespoke stack called Simulation OS. Identity and a range of digital interactions are handled by the ZERO system, while Z Chain — built alongside partners such as Polygon — concentrates on fast transactions and scalability.
WILD anchors the whole system, serving both in-game spending and DAO governance. Tellingly, 80% of the WILD that gets spent is burned, a mechanism meant to keep deflationary pressure on the token’s supply.
Market implications
With Market Trading v1 live, players can convert their duplicate items into assets they can trade and can directly shape market prices. The result is a livelier player experience and an economy bolstered by cooperative trading.
This marketplace framework extends Wilder World’s economic design, leaning on community-set pricing to deepen engagement and value inside the game. The forthcoming Ethereum integration is expected to widen the marketplace still further, adding liquidity and expanding the trading options open to users.
