Grand Fantasy Integrates Chainlink Sports Data

Grand Fantasy announced today the integration of Chainlink’s Sports Data to power March Madness Contest.

Grand Fantasy is a daily fantasy sports game built on Polygon, which offers its users the chance to access simple pick’em challenges by depositing Matic tokens. Users pick who they think will win with low contest fees and high payouts.

By being the first project leveraging Chainlink data for fantasy sports, Grand Fantasy choose Chainlink for its tamper-proof data and reliable smart contract mechanisms that ensure a fair contest among users.

“Chainlink allows us to secure our fantasy sports offerings with tamper-proof, real-world on-chain data that is hyper-resistant to single points of failure. We are beyond excited to be a part of the Chainlink ecosystem and the broader DeFi industry as a whole.”

Aidan Kaiser, Founder of Grand Fantasy

Their initial integration applies to retrieving sports data from Match Madness, the famous NCAA College basketball tournament in the United States, with plans to expand on multiple sports and contest types in the second version release of the platform.

About Chainlink VRF and RNG (Random Number Generation)

VRF is a highly secure and provably fair source of on-chain randomness for all kinds of blockchain-based applications, NFTs, and games.

Random Number Generation (RNG) is a mechanism for unpredictability. RNG secures the outcome against reverse engineering. However, it’s vulnerable to miner attacks, and it requires complete trust in the data provider when it comes to off-chain implementation.

Chainlink VRF is explicitly designed to support smart contracts’ needs, providing them with an open-source and easily integrated RNG solution directly auditable on-chain by any user via cryptographic proofs.

With this technology, even the oracle provider or the project developers can’t tamper the outcome.

Chainlink’s VRF technology has also been integrated into multiple games and dapps such as Wasder, Dreams Quest, Axie Infinity, My Defi Pet, The Six Dragons, Polyient Games, IGG, and many others.8All suggestions
