Microsoft & Enjin Collaboration is Bigger Than Most of You Think

Enjin has come a long way since it’s ICO in 2017, receiving global recognition from multinational companies such as Microsoft and Samsung.

Of course, these partnerships are not “pump and dump” stories like the ones we have used to see in the crypto space, but a spin-off of hard work and constant evolution towards better gaming, and digital collectible future.

Microsoft & Enjin

The new partnership between Microsoft and Enjin is about the “Azure Heroes,” a unique and fun way to reward individuals in the Azure community with verifiable digital collectibles backed by ENJ Tokens.

Microsoft aims to offer recognition through “Azure Heroes” to every day “Heroes” of their community who impact the project with their actions.

For example, mentoring, developing, and more actions may result in a “badge reward,” which is unique, traceable on the blockchain, and provides recognition to the holder.

There are several categories, including Content and Community heroes, Mentors, Makers, leaders, and learners. All of the digital collectible tokens (NFTs) come at a limited supply, and some will be harder to get than others.

Adding Credibility to the Ecosystem

Let me begin by saying that Enjin doesn’t need any of it. It’s credible enough, and that has been proved over the past years with the incredible innovations they offer. Take, for example, the gaming Multiverse, Triple-A blockchain games have joined the initiative, and the majority of them are expected to launch within the next months.

With the Unity SDK, the Enjin Wallet, and the Java SDK along with the world’s first blockchain-based Minecraft server, Enjin is leading the crypto gaming space.

Additionally, the ERC-1155 Token standard, which was initially developed by the Enjin team, has been officially recognized by the Ethereum community and opened the gates to new, unexplored possibilities we have never seen before.

The Microsoft collaboration puts Enjin in the front seat of issuing digital collectibles, with several blockchains trying to win the race, Enjin makes a huge move ahead of the competition by having Microsoft with its side.

As i stated in the first paragraph, this is a result of hard work and well-crafted innovative services. Issuing digital collectibles (Non-Fungible Tokens) based on Enjin’s smart contracts ensures not only the scarcity of each token but also the value. For example, anyone can mint (create) a digital collectible and back it with an amount of ENJ tokens, which can be later retrieved by melting (destroying) it through the Enjin Wallet app.

This ensures a “base value” of each NFT. Think of this as a cryptocurrency within a cryptocurrency. In gaming, the in-game assets like swords, armor, etc have a base value, and players can get a portion of their money back in case the development stops.

“MICROSOFT AND ENJIN HAVE COLLABORATED IN A LOCAL PILOT TO CREATE A BLOCKCHAIN BASED RECOGNITION PROGRAMME. THE AZURE HEROES BADGERS WERE CREATED IN A NUMBER OF ORIGINAL AND UNIQUE DESIGNS, WHICH HAVE BEEN TOKENISED INTO A DIGITAL ASSET ON THE ETHEREUM PUBLIC BLOCKCHAIN.

In October, Enjin received an investment from Blockchain.com Ventures and the development continues in fast-pace with more and more games joining the Enjin Ecosystem including thousands of new-minted tokens every week.
